The biggest downside to playing Nurgle is that rotting flesh and putrid skin tones are so hard to get 100% right, especially if you play an army with a daemon detachment

There hasn't been a good video game in a long time though. Its mostly a war game where you assemble an army of little figures to fight other people's armies. Obviously there are RPGs, video games, books and tons of other shit connected to it, but yeah, if you want to play the game you will need a figure or two.
Only Dawn of War 1 and Space Marine were any good. Most 40k games are...okayish. They usually just seem soooo low effort.
Tried my hand at edge highlighting, but it looks a bit crap. Any tips?

I could definitely use a better brush, but I won’t be able to get one until Tuesday.

Yeah, I've been focusing on improving my painting skills before I start actually putting stuff on the table, if only so I can have an army that looks half-decent.I think the highlighting itself looks good, all it needs is some cleaning up on areas where the lighting shouldn't be. It's already going to be well above average tabletop standards if you finish the miniature at this quality.
Unfortunately these are the easy-build ones, so no chance to paint them without anything getting in the way.Are you painting in subassemblies? It is easier to access everything with the brush from a good angle this way (like using the side of the brush on raised areas). I haven't even really attempted hilighting yet, I may or may not ever implement it, but I'm trying to perfect the simple stuff first. I think it's just a matter of stylistic preference. You should see a lot of gains at it with a little practice though.
I'd say you should use a lighter blue, and preferably thinner lines (easier said than done of course)Tried my hand at edge highlighting, but it looks a bit crap. Any tips?

Beautiful. Here's the guy I just finished as a proof of concept:

My plan is to slap on a few fleur-de-lis and give him to the sisters when they're released later this year. To maintain the integrity of the lore, assume there's a woman inside who gets electrocuted every time it moves.
Been thinking about starting a Necron Kill Team, but only if I can pick up some Flayed Ones; I've always had a soft spot for them, even though they're not so great. Sadly, though, the damn things are expensive!
