imagining this alongside its mechanical compatriots just makes me do double take.

Not at all, they just look terrible. As if they took an existing tracked tank design and shoved it on a bed of emergency hatch covers for the latter. The Mechanicus hovercraft looks awful too in that it looks like an inflatable raft, makes me think of some awful Star Wars figurine offshoot.

At least the regular Space Marine vehicles looked impressive. The first time the Land Raider came out it looked like a beast. Those latter two vehicles just look pathetic, and try too hard to improve upon a design the Land Speeder already had perfectly. It also ruins the unique aesthetic offered by the Eldar, who are predominantly anti-grav and brittle next to the grounded and armoured behemoths of the Astartes.

This is why I hate the over-focus on SMs being guys-that-have-everything. There is more than enough shit around for them; give it a rest.

I don't mind the Mechanicus tank as much as the Primaris one. The tubing and odd chassis remind me of a futuristic Studebaker. The Primaris tank doesn't work for me at all though--the metal along the bottom tricks the eye into thinking it has treads, making it look like a normal tank that is hovering around clownishly.

I hope :optimistic: the Blood Raven index has rules and kitbash guides for the notable Blood Raven characters from the Dawn of War franchise. (besides the already existing Gabriel Angelos mini from FW.)

Apocalypse is up for pre order soon and some of the box sets look alright

Chad marines and Evil marines both get battalions but everyone else gets some other flavour of detachment. I’m guessing £120 per box sext at minimum.

The Chaos box looks great, a true army box. I'd like the Tyranid box a lot too if it didn't come with a Trygon/Mawloc. GW can't give those things away. It's a shame they made such a cool model so wimpy. Now, if it were an Exocrine/Haruspex, we'd be talking.

so White Scars are getting some new bois, The Ebon Keshig.

ill leave the link for the full info drop

my question to white scars players (if there are any) is apart from them being termis, what else gives you a reason to grab them and add them to an army that seems quite heavy on hit and run tactics?, just from an outside perspective.

So if anyone's interested in some 3rd party Leman Russ proxies with a WW2 vibe, some of these are still around for preorder:

Seems the choice of caster is pretty solid, so I'm hoping they turn out okay! A little pricey, but such is the cost of resin kits :(

Oh, I see we're back at the pissing contest of which chapter is the best.

You're all wrong. The best bois of Mankind are the bloody Thunder Warriors.

Personally I really dig the look of the Vostoyan Firstborns and Savlar Chem Dogs, but the former is OoP and the latter is an expensive kitbash consisting of 90% Genestealer cultist parts.
