A lot of people in the AoS fanbase are going nuts about this revelation.
There's an Age of Shitmar fanbase?

Because I stopped caring the moment they made it Spellhammer 40k: Commoraugh edition.

On one hand, Eisenhorn was made by Abnett, who is very woke to begin with.

On the other hand, I know from the DOW and BFGA modding scenes that GW can be really, really strict with their IP and requires GW approval for everything.

Not sure if this is the right thread but I've been wanting to play Dawn of War 1 again, does anyone have any recommended mods or other stuff?

If you own boxed copies of the original games, you can always ask SEGA for free Steam keys. It worked for me.

And just know that only Dark Crusade and onwards support widescreen resolutions without mods.

Ultimate Apocalypse. Don't know if there's a version for the Base Game, but there is for Soulstorm. As far as I know it works in the campaign too.

Cities of Sigmar? more like

for dark crusade there is titanium wars which also has a version for soulstorm, there is the lagfest ultimate apocalypse. there is also multiple mods which add a faction or chapter/warband/whatever, such as the inquisition or the world eaters.

look like mechanicus has gotten an expansion, heretek which brings the influence of chaos to the game along with two new units, also fuck tau in the latest iteration of UA, they can turtle harder than the guard and have the firepower that makes them a complete ass to deal with.

also saw two things that caught my eye, first being more SoB model preview

honestly its becoming abit of a raffle to see how bad the next face is.

but then there was the second thing which was pretty rad.

these would be good to have as just a little somthin.

I recently learned Warhammer 40k isn't the far flung future version of Warhammer. I've never been so disappointed.

The CSM Sorcerer with the force sword still looks pretty great IMO.

The Dawn of War games used that, it is SINDRIIII! But yeah pretty good model.

Also, why do those Sisters have black carapace plugs? I don't care about the sacklocth or parchment bikini, but for a clothed repentia they should have given them some sort of chainmail made out of barbed wire. Would be metal as hell.

Probably gonna be some halfassed retcon that the sororitas are kinda-sorta space marines in response to that dumbass "REEE NO WAMMEN SPACEMARINES PROVE GW AM MISOGGYNEEST!" nontroversy a year or two ago.

Honestly given they are supposed to be an intermediary step between the guard and the mehreens in terms of capability, having them be bionically upgraded and augmented in addition to having power armor and bolters would make a fair bit of sense and would not be horrifically lore-bending given how they have regularly been depicted as being able to trade blows with chaos space marines and other such forces since their inception. Basically they would be "cheaper" mass produced space marine instead of just unaugmented nuns randomly shoved in power armour, and while GW is busy doing this maybe they might also be given a halfway decent range of vehicles that are not just shitty rhino upgrades.

I've never imagined plugs like that to be exclusively tied to the black carapace.

There's a bunch of power armour users in the imperium outside of Spacemarines and it's reasonable that a similar system of plugs might be used to connect the armour to the nervous system of the wearer. Without the sofistication of the black carapace though, the integration is presumably more crude.
