I really wish chaos undivided got more love, while I love my Death Guard army, I want to make my own army of batshit insane zealots who follow the gods undivided.

Mostly so I could field Lorgar or Pertuabo in 40K, while still maintaining a warband with an interesting backstory.

It looks terrible and unbalanced; like it'll just fall over. Also not worth whatever BS price tag has for it.

The only scenario I can imagine this thing being appropriate for is reenacting the power-loader fight at the end of Aliens against a Hive Tyrant. "Get away from that Sister of Battle, you bug!"

SM needed another flavor of dreadnaught. Meanwhile I have to jump through hoops just to get a Hive Tyrant with a standard Devourer loadout.

Huh would be pretty neat if you armored up the cockpit a little and put like an Elysian drop trooper in there instead of a big power armor guy.

Eh, fuck off with gundams. Dreads are cool because it's a bulky armored coffin for some guy who wants to fight on even after having their body destroyed. Millennia of Xeno killing expertise lumbering around in a mehtal bawks.

Having some regular power armored guy chillin in a gundam suit instead of being on the ground flaying Xenos with a chainsword? Lame.

As for comparing it to a Sentinel....how? A Sentinel still has one regular Joe Blow in it, and is more of armored vehicle instead of a gundam. If they had some dude walking around in a mech suit I'd be ripping it just as much. Save that shit for pussy Xenos who would lose to a guardsman in CC.

at this point its to things in my mind.

1. GW has designers who dont know/remember/care what setting these models are from.

2. GW,in its aim to get a larger audience is aiming to make a cleaner, sanitised new imperium with all these new releases.

i lean towards 2 as there seems to be no end ofassholes who eat this up, or maybe im wrong and its minority with alot of disposable cash.

id say the art for such vehicles indicates how they fit with in the setting and respective faction.

the land raider id say fits well, things like the repulsors not so much.

When I saw this announcement trailer today on jewtube, my first thought was that someone had scratchbuilt a mech from Avatar and painted it in Smurf colours.
I mean it's not a bad looking model at all, just not for 40K lore in my opinion.

I think the repulsors fit just fine with 40k. It makes sense for an elite super human fighting force to have anti-gravity vehicles them being painted clean has to do more with marketing and being given an Ultramarines scheme. We all know they've doubled down Ultramarines being a borderline utopia for some reason, something I assume has to do with them going for a possible Roman Empire split.

Nothing is stopping you from painting them grungy and making the repulsors look like they just left an active battle zone. What I don't like is how they keep plastering Heavy Stubbers/.50 Cals on everything Primaris marine now that just feels wrong. If remember right you can switch it out but on a presentation model it looks bad.

The new dreadnaught is not that big of an offense if you compare it to Grey Knight baby carrier. I think it being open in the middle is pretty stupid even for 40k, but in lore it was probably just a lumber jack machine given guns at least I hope.

(I did not paint this)

Aside from them looking cool, did GW forget that the Stubber is a peasant's weapon? Space Marines consider the bolter a sacred weapon, and it's hard to believe they'd go with a Stubber over a Storm Bolter.

You can typically replace the heavy stubber with a stormbolter, I just find it odd when every other non chad marine vehicle has nothing weaker than a heavy bolter equipped the new and hottest piece of tech on the market comes with fucking stubbers stock. Of course it does leave room for YOUR DUDES and cheaper options which I do like. So I'm a bit meh either way. Of course the majority of people don't subscribe to the your dudes way of doing things these days.

Also stubbers, while they do work and are a semi-common IG and very common PDF weapon, lack the punching power a bolter actually has what with them being 20mm rockets tipped in an ultratough AP cap. The Space Marines do have a good tactical reason to use them along side their religious reasoning. Whoever's the ignorant treadhead managing their vehicles might want to remember this.

Just makes me happy I'm not dumb enough to sink electricity bills' worth of money on this shit.

That sounds neat. Have you thought about adding other characters in? It would be badass if you could have some assassins, grey knights, sisters of battle, and why the fuck not let's throw the orks on aswell

I do have one made for a Sister, because I actually have female friends that play games like this.

A Grey Knight, I've considered but no one has asked. Someone else already made Assassins, no point re-inventing the wheel. Next characters will very likely be Inquisitor and "Generic Elite Trooper" types. Then I'm working on adding new enemies to the game.

Also, because I'm not a faggot I refuse to do any characters that aren't people or have the wrong religion. No Xenos.

Get right with the Emperor, you goddamned heretic.

It's not the design that bothers me- I could make that look more appealing with the right parts. What bothers me is that it's another "troop mulcher", which is all that Space Marines really seem to be focused on these days. I've got two armies of Space Marines-

My primary Marines army is Deathwatch, so all of the new Vanguard Infantry is useless to me since I can't take it- but I will be buying some of the new kits to kitbash and customize my Deathwatch- and that's not downplaying their value, I absolutely love doing this. But overall, Deathwatch can do anything I need them to do right now.

The only way I can use any of these new releases- is my Homebrew chapter (so I can just play around with different chapter tactics), and the Vanguard stuff is very cool to me, I use quite a bit of the recent stuff- but I've also got a Sicaran Punisher and all sorts of other dakka units. I can erase everything up to TEQ all day long, easily. I don't need one more troop-shredder. And when it comes to tankbusters, Whirlwind tanks and Stormhawks have got me covered, and if not- there's a Knight I can throw down.
