Pirating the books is easy, I would imagine. But even bootleg miniatures are expensive. A bootleg tank that would normally be $60 is still $40 if you go fishing for Chinese resin.

It actually is possible to get into 40k without spending an arm and a leg, but you have to be savvy enough to have heard of Kill Team and patient enough to slowly expand from a Start Collecting box.

Besides, max level cheapness is to just take rocks from outside and just denote what they are by color or something. More reasonable cheapness is to use chess pieces with little pictures on them or something.
 
So I had a thought today. Is Kaldor Draigo basically just the Doom Slayer but in 40k?

Yeah, I was looking at the wrong prices for the sets. $210 isn't too, too bad, but the included models are a little underwhelming given the price. Hopefully they come out with a Start Collecting box or one of those two army boxes so people can get the models without all the extra stuff.

I assume they will. The Warhammer Community site already confirmed multipart battle squad, Seraphim, and penitent engine kits that'll be out early next year, plus the codex. A starter box probably won't be far behind; I'd guess a multipart battle squad, penitent engine, and a canoness or sister superior.

Well Fuckers, In an autistic surge I have identified the current owner of the Astarte's channel, and naturally the redditors get scared whenever someone does this every since they proudly got a kid to commit suicide.

I don't know where else to post this. I hope you find it convincing.

above is the link claiming "Mr. Crazy" is the owner of the astartes website. The actions of Mr.Crazy, the nature of his channel, the similar English deficiencies for someone claiming to live in the US activated my almonds. In truth, Mr. Crazy is one of many channels owned by a single individual. He frequently forgets to log out when he promotes, so there is ample evidence linking the owner of this channel to a single individual.

getting the books is very easy. miniatures are cheap if you are willing to buy used, and 3dprint some yourself.
 
Is every Horus Heresy book like Prospero Burns? (and by that I mean does every book jerk you around for 400 pages before getting to the fucking point?)

Some are. Unremembered Empire takes literally the entire book to get to Guilliman crowning Sanguinius as seen on the cover (though we do get Konrad Curze fucking shit up all over Macragge to compensate), and Fear to Tread takes a while to get going. On the other hand, the first four books (Horus Rising, False Gods, and Galaxy in Flames, The Flight of the Eisenstein) are pretty good, as are Know No Fear, Scars, The Path of Heaven, and Ruinstorm.
 
The compromised Astartes channel uploaded a shitty compilation video the other day and is doing a stream in a bit.
