I'm not a fan of GW's current hero aesthetic. I'd prefer they do more subdued units until they fire the moron who decided every hero model needs to be 1) a diorama, or 2) standing on a fucking rock.

Warhammer is the niche of a niche. I cant even think of another table top game that rivals it in costs. Their customer base is literally based on the most hardcore of fans you could have,

I had time to recheck the app. There's been a few changes to it since people reviewed it and it doesn't even give you a lot of information unless you want to paint with one colour now. They were supposed to give you the ability to check different paint schemes on different models eventually but I guess that never came to pass. Just another product GW gave up on I guess. At least it can still take photos and check what paints are needed for the colour in the photo.

I tend to use Dawn of War II to test out paint schemes anyways. When not doing that I can play the Apocalypse mod. That and I tend to use pigments so I can mix my own paints. I find it to be a lot more fun. Just be careful with metallic's, they tend to be more expensive but you'll have a nicer metallic colour, at least they were expensive back when I painted my own models.

According to 1d4chan, they barely did anything notable since the great schism. But hey, 40k loves irony.
 
I noticed this was only posted on their twitter and nowhere else. Not their IG or their main website. This makes me think the entire purpose was a reaction to the cancelling of Tony Cottrell of Forge World, who was recently accused of racism.

The YOU WILL NOT BE MISSED line seems to have reddit in a soy frenzy, though. They actually seem to think this is a sincere post. The funny thing is that this will have zero impact on new customers, but I guarantee it will make older fans of the hobby feel alienated as fuck as they see the writing on the wall changing the 'core' of 40k. Everyone has seen the most famous example, Marvel, utterly lose its core characters to progressive politics, and all the dangerhairs need is a foot in the door to utterly change company culture.

Frankly it will be a fantastic shit-show to watch when it inevitably happens. GW cannot survive without its core fanbase, it is too niche.

Looking on Twitter It also mentions something he said at the forgewold / necromunda panel that house esher were exotic and vindictive because they were women. Which you can imagine caused a bit of tizzy but for anyone wondering about the most recent Tony situation

 
I think Custodes have new organs as well. They definately have the black carapace and I think the extra heart-lung stuff. Primaris were based on Primarch and Custodian DNA. Primarchs also had the extra organs, it would make no sense for Custodes not to have them.

Even if we go full progressive, Astartes are not human. You could even argue that like orks, they are asexual monogender species that share a resemblance to human males. But they are not sexual creatures, so they can not be trans sexual because they lack the sexual part. They are already trans human.

Woman care more about being apart of the most popular representation. Not the representation that makes sense. SoB and SoS are both just female Space Marines and Custodes respectivly, yet they are different enough to be their own unique thing. Woman don't care about that tho, they want to be apart of the popular thing. I wouldn't be surprised they are pushing the SoB this time around for the sole reason of just trying to trick these retards into thinking there are female Space Marines so they can stop fucking asking.

I was getting stoked for 9th edition, but that whole statement about not being missed killed it for me, as well as the two guys whom I primarily play with.

You are right about the core fanbase leaving, however I dont think the franchise is going to die out. As a wargame it will dwindle, but as an IP it will continue to grow, because it is the next big untapped series of mega-blockbuster movies and marketing gimmicks waiting to happen.

GW already has a partnership with Marvel for comics, which means Disney will take the franchise, make it watchable for normies, dump a bunch of progressive bullshit into it, and produce about 20 PG-13 rated movies until it is run into the ground, at which point Disney will move on to consume the next hobby it can exploit.

Its unfortunate, because I have been into 40k (on and off) for over 20 years now, and this is just another hobby of mine that is now down the drain.

Toolbox like boxes, with polystyrene esque materiel that each has 60 small squares in them, for infantry and such, tanks and vehicles get a shelf.
