The indomitus box goes up on the 11th and releases at the end of the month. I decided I'll just fucking get it.

It's seems like they shat this out real quick after announcement.

Auspex tactics has just put out a video mentioning the rumoured price point (from Bolter and Chainsword) is £120 or $250 for burger land. Australian and Kiwi players have been advised to re-mortgage their homes and sell all none essential organs.

Also a two new chapter approved books are supposed to be getting a release at the same time but would be bundled together. One covers points and the other as a tournament pack with a tonne of missions.

Tg got it.

/tg/ have been leaking a ton of shit. The big reveal this weekend is supposed to be a Starcraft 2 bunker for Primaris marines that has a ton of blast attacks and what have you.

There's also supposedly a Primaris Captain on Bike model coming.

Which, if true, means I'm going to have to learn how to paint black skin, because if you don't think my Blood Raven Captain on Bike isn't going to be riding a stolen White Scars / Ultramarines / Dark Angels / what have you bike, you have another thing coming.

$250? Usually the GWs stuff seems to be a bit higher priced than just conversion, but not double priced.

Edit to not double post:

That seems interesting, we have, what? Mortarion, Magnus, and Girlyman that qualify for that right now?

I'm guessing Ghazghkull, Silent King and Abbadon will be Supreme Comanders. Fulgrim has been in the rumour mill for a while now, but I'm guessing we'll be getting Lion as well. I'm trying to think of who else would qualify as Supreme Commanders.

Important characters are probably going to be changed from regular HQs to supreme commanders I think. Models like Cawl, Creed or Trajann.

Also is anyone going to build/use the Primaris bikes from Indomitus? Maybe it's me but they just seem kind of goofy but not in the right way.

Yeah, Cawl was one of the ones I wasn't sure about, but considering their slapping his name on a lot of tech, he probably would be.

Yeah, that sounds like someone either fucked up their math or mistook Australian/Kiwi dollars for US dollars (although at current exchange rates 120 pounds still only comes out to $216 AUD or $230 NZD, so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ). GW is dicks about their pricing sometimes, but given that Dark Imperium was $150 USD and most of the box sets and battleforces they've released in the last few years have been between $150-180. with the exception of the limited SoB box and Blood of the Phoenix) I feel like this box will be sitting somewhere in the $160-$200 range.

I'll build mine eventually. And yeah, they do look a bit goofy. They're too low to the ground. A single large rock would high center them.

Lets do some napkin math.

Dark Imperium was £95, and converted to $160...

£95 is roughly $120 when properly converted, so they added on a 25% fuck you for having freedom tax.

£120 is $150 when properly converted, adding the fuck you for having freedom tax, that puts it at $190 or so.

$250 isn't likely unless they are REALLY fucking over Americans. I anticipate it being a straight $200 or maybe $175.

Someone showed me that Primaris bunker thing and I thought they were joking. They seem to be going after the GI Joe crowd.

Power creep is real, gents. Why even play an NPC faction if the Imperium armies are gonna have better gear that's cheaper?

The new Eradicators are better than Fire Dragons across the board with the same weapon but double the range AND a special rule for focused fire fuckery AND are CHEAPER. The AdMech Jump troops are Swooping Hawks but better and cheaper. The new Inquisitor Karen has a gun that's better than the Phoenix Lord's version of the same, a gun that is supposed to represent the ultimate version of the Eldar weapon.

GW (and the fanbase in general, it seems) doesn't seem to mind nonstop Imperium vs. Imperium games.

The fact that rando inquisitor has better wargear than a Phoenix Lord is hilariously tragic.

I went out and bought a pack of assault terminators since stormshield make them monsters now.

Manlet rage has usurped Zoomer primaris.

Pretty gay, not gonna lie. Unless this means we're going to see a significant Eldar update, I don't see a positive side to it. Just more gay Imperium fapping like most of this thread.

Necrons are...cool, I guess. I checked out on them when they stopped being C'tan slaves, and I suspect that if the dumbing down/Marvel-ising of the franchise bears any merit, Necrons were chosen since you can be as brutal as you like to robots made out of wires that don't feel pain. Not so much with problematic, fleshy creatures like those that serve Chaos or Orks, etc.
