You guys have already wasted more brain cells and work typing all that than the original drone at Vice did.

Pretty much.

Despite being UK based GW knows where their bread is buttered and it sure as hell isn't danger hairs and poly queer faggots.

They're not going to fuck over 40k due to IdPol PC shit...they're going to fuck it over because they're a bunch of dumbass greedy morons who long ago lost any spark of creativity.

They literally cannot comprehend that someone of good moral character would ever disagree with them, and they certainly can't comprehend the mental reasoning behind people who do. No, literally -- Righties understand Leftists (but disagree with them), but Lefties have no fucking idea how righties think. It's a complete and utter lack of empathy on a scale I don't think many appreciate. (Edit: And here's the scary thing -- that same utter lack of empathy? It's a primary symptom of Sociopaths.)

Eh. I've known some righties who are the same way; i.e., they literally can't comprehend why anyone would agree with a leftist viewpoint and seem to regard them either as mentally ill or actual factual demons in disguise. I've run into a few ultra-conservative Christians who think that anyone who is to the left of their politics is demon-possessed and literally believe that Hillary is the Antichrist, like in those shitty Left Behind books.

But anyway, back to Warhammer spergin'. Behold my WIP Indomitus chaplain:

I used to be hot for Warhammer but the fire died. All the grimdark got stupider and stupider to me.

Looks like I've gone to jelly school, I think you've inspired me to expand my primaris units. Is that an imperial fist? Can't see the shoulder pad.

Speaking of shoulder pads, do you guys bother with them? Hand paint? Transfer sheets? I have over 300 marines in my Blood Angels army, but it's a successor chapter so I had to hand paint the chapter markings. I like them, but the inconsistency on the pauldrons is the one thing that bothers me. I never figured out how to create a stencil for the job.

I'm autistic about my successor pauldrons so I just keep retouching the markings until they look close enough. There's probably a better method out there, but nothing beats doing things the old fashioned way.

My hands aren't steady enough to paint shoulder pads like that. So I'm just happy pic related exists.

Is there a more stereotypical cliché for craftworld Eldar than "garden of wood-eldar whom are sworn to protect all life and carry around lush forests full of megadons and weird flora, and fight using small scout detachments backed up by war-walkers..." I think I've seen no less than 6 variations of that theme this year.

Sounds like a bunch of Exodar players with some serious cope.

I'm not even sure what I'd do if I did custom Craftworld Eldar. Alien... Space Elves... Can see the future... Hedonistic, but these are the ones that fled that life...

Basically No Fap Slannesh. Hm.

But sensation-freaks can be obsessed with way more sensations than sound... So maybe Eldar that intentionally blind themselves? Lots of molded on blindfolds and scarred eye sockets, and an intentionally desaturated paint scheme? Lots of grays with color washes?

Yup, he's Imperial Fists. I've got a few transfer sheets, plus some of the Primaris upgrade frames and FW shoulder pads, so I kind of alternate between the two as necessary.

Celestial who? I only see target confirmations down the scope of an exitus.
This is nothing but Chaotic heresy meant to spread discord and suspicion! The Most Holy Ordos would never target the Emperor's Chosen for extermination. Those were merely some unusually accurate Ork snipers.

And TTS-wise, the two of them will have a good cry and a nice long talk, and promptly continue being pieces of shit at ease with how their cowardice saves lives.

For starters, I recommend getting the Space Wolves codex (I'd wait to see if GW puts out a 9th edition version, but that's just me).
The next part depends on what kind of player are you.
Are you a competitive player or are you playing for shiggles?
If it's the latter, I have looked at this channel for ideas on building my armies:

I hope he makes a thematic build list for the Space Wolves, but he may do it once 9th edition settles in.
Late as hell, but not going competitive, just playing with friends as a lot of them are in the hobby as well. I’ve spent the past week or so reading up on lore, and decided to get Blood Angels instead because they’re just cooler to me.

@Love_Machine011 You've made a friend.

@Longcat I'm not competitive myself and 9th Edition looks promising with Crusade (the narrative play rules).

He loses every game he plays but still comes back for more and hes always buying boyz, sounds like a true hobbyist compared to the secondaries tumbling into warhammer.
Do you guys think it was the popularity of vermintide and total warhammer bringing 40k back into the spotlight that did this? Astartes youtube trended far too recently to be the start of this and alfabusa is arcane and esoteric for outsiders.

On another note, I'm thinking that "40k end times" will involve omegon pulling an SSS rank joke on the forces of chaos such as "Whoops, your fleets entire dark mechanicus compliment has been replaced with useful idiot snake cultists!" or "whoops we """accidentally""" brought a stolen fragment of the nightbringer onboard armless-failures flagship!"
