So I was lurking this thread and noticed recently some guys mentioned Sigmarxism and how some of them seem to be editing 1d4chan. Recently, I sort of started to read up on Age of Sigmar stuff (and I know) but I thought id just read it. I get to the Stormcast page for it and seems normal until I got to the see also page. There was a youtube link that lead to a video that went into detail for stormcast eternals and it was oddly fucking political and otherwise would have been a good video however apparently the video itself was made by a mod over at /r/sigmarxism.

From what I understand sigmarxism seems to have claws in almost every warhammer sub mostly /r/40klore.

Yup. Grimdank, 40klore, and a bunch of others are moderated by Sigmarxism mods as well. They like to tell you not to mention Sigmarxism if you object to them trying to politicize shit.

it’s just really odd to me sigmarxism

It’s just really odd to me they picked such a....capitalist hobby. Kinda sucks this seemingly coincides with Age of Sigmar releasing since I started painting some models. Though I wouldn’t be too worried apparently those kids books they made are quite in line with typical 40k stuff. The tau book had some black girl realize the inquisition were right and that tau are assholes who deserve to be purged and it made sigmarxism seethe.

Someone should invite Sigmarxism to their LGS for a game then knee cap them with a crowbar

Most of them will be part of the 40% anyway so don’t waste your time. It’s been quite the wake up call for me with Warhammer since I got back into the hobby last year left when Cadia blew up and AoS happened basically graduated college and came back. I Play Orks, and Blood Ravens mostly I was fucking hyped when apparently Blood Ravens themselves have rules and Gabriel Angelos has a FW model. 8th is alright to me and way better than the dark times of 6th-7th edition.

Oddly the bat soup got me into Age of Sigmar stuff. I used to really hate it but after reading up on it and playing the game I grew to really enjoy it even the fuckin sigmarines. Stormcasts are so cheap on eBay it’s crazy.

It's not weird at all. It's an old Maoist trick, applied to the culture war. "Anything available must be turned to serve the party parrot lefty culture or burned down so the enemies of the revolution righties cannot use it enjoy it."

Combine that with the Cultural Marxist research that lead to the "Gamers are Dead" thing during GamerGate -- which pointed out that these types genuinely believe you are the media you consume. By enjoying 40k with the Imperium et all, we're inherently turning outselves into Ordo Xenos Inquisitors, or somesuch insanity. Hence the push for "inclusion" and "representation" and "diversity" and lefty political bullshit in all media they can get their hands on: they literally think they're going to turn all of us into soyboys if they can just fuck with our hobbies enough.

But, back on topic.

Yellow.

I still think being a brush manufacturer and advertising them by doing painting tutorials on Youtube is cheating. Actually debating picking up some of his brushes, not sold on drybrushing everything like he does, but it does look pretty good.

And speaking of Age of Sigmar

I wish they sold god specific upgrade sprues for your chaos mortals. However, I guess the thrill is finding your own stuff. I like nurgle stuff in AoS too again got lucky on eBay and got some old forge world nurgle units still legal in AoS like a great unclean one and plague ogors. The nurgle chaos warriors are awesome or “Blightkings” but GW charges a crazy price for 5 of them.

I’ve been really enjoying the artist opus videos even if it is just a glorified advertisement.

AoS would be a good game in my opinion if you didn’t have to roll to see who goes first every turn. In fact it’s the biggest reason I stopped playing, I lost count how many times the other player got the double turn and I was standing around for half an hour doing almost nothing.

If the wanted to do alternate activation they should have just written it that way then there was the endless spells expansion. It’s almost as inflated as 7th edition 40K at this point.

I’m really divided on the double turn I like it but I don’t. It adds an extra layer of worry of “if I get the double turn I should position here or if I don’t maybe I should stay here”

I really wonder if AoS 3rd edition will shake things up.

I don't collect Stormcast but their lore is actually cool. There's an entire Host of them that are basically composed of ancient souls who are implied to be from the old setting. And, unlike the Space Marines who would be silly as women, female Stormcast look good and make perfect sense, because it's not physical might that causes you to be reborn into one, it's faithfulness, purity and courage. I also like the fact that the whole goddam setting doesn't revolve around them, unlike, well. You know.

Yeah I agree Stormcasts went from my most hated thing to me really liking them. People keep calling them "Space marines" but that is mostly their image Stormcasts themselves are much closer to Chaos Warriors when it comes down to it but its for Sigmar. Like if we really wanna use space marine comparisons the Hammers of Sigmar(gold/blue dudes) are much closer to Raven Guard than Ultramarines since in their former lives they all resisted chaos in some form as resistance fighters.

and ya they also dont seem to really have much focus for being "posterboys" most of their time is just trying to find out a cure for their immortality corrupting them. Basically Sgimar didnt perfect the process stormcasts cant die but their souls are fucked in the process to the point they are nothing but lighting in armor with no emotions if they die to much. I mean hell the next event has a major fight brewing between Slaaneshs minions and Daughters of Khaine with a tease of Slaanesh coming back and being PISSED meaning modern GW is not getting rid of Slaanesh like I originally thought years ago.

The term is actually "Sigmarines," but you get the gist.

I heard Sigmarines aren't even that good as a faction in AoS. Which is amusing since they're, you know, Sigmarines.

They are marketed as an army for "beginners" but they are not that beginner friendly. They should be a more elite low model high wound army but they arent. The best lists for them are using the various shooting units. On top of that the launch Stormcasts or the ones who came out right when AoS came out are all out classed by newer units. For instance the basic liberators (hammers and shield) are just straight up outclassed by Sequitors who have shields with mauls or swords.
