I hope we get new sanguinor and Dante models. Though I bet they are gonna want to make Dante stand on a rock or something.
There's a lot of models that need an update (or need one at all).

They don't have to get primarised to get a new model. The ba codex is coming out in like, a month or 2.I think Primaris might be taking a break (lol) for other shit id say we wont get primaris chapter specific stuff for a while. Also has anyone here ever used Artel models? I play Blood Ravens and hated Gabriel Angelos's FW model but I managed to get my friend to print me the artels Angelos which looks way better. I am kinda disappointed his DoW 3 design is canon though.

Although as old as Dante is, and considering his battle honors, I could easily see the Blood Angels keeping him on as a Firstborn simply because he's too useful to lose if the upgrade fails. As it stands GW seem to basically to be primarising every named Space marine character slowly but surely. The operation is apparently dangerous but almost all the named dudes got out fine. Id expect Dante to be Primaris. Though with the sanguinor I honestly think you could make an awesome conversion of him with stormcast eternals. Althoguh I think for being an old model he still looks nice.
The sanguinor won't get primarised because it's a warp entity, Dante could easily be the exception to the rule. Also the operation being dangerous is outdated lore iirc.As it stands GW seem to basically to be primarising every named Space marine character slowly but surely. Outside of the competitive scene good rules don't usually affect the popularity of armies too much. Obviously people prefer their army to be strong but some factions like Orks & Imperial Guard are always popular despite wildly fluctuating strengths between codexes & editions. For casual games you can usually make a decent list even if your codex isn't top-tier.Also I wanna ask I did not really play a lot of 8th edition 40k but apparently Iron Hands and Raven Guard were the go tos for Space marine armies? I honestly find that kind of funny I always thought Raven Guard/Iron Hands were some of the more unpopular chapters even if they are first founding's. Chapters like Black Templars, Blood Ravens, and Celestial Lions probably had more fans.

Celestial Lions really do need more love tho, they're fucking cool.
They are marketed as an army for "beginners" but they are not that beginner friendly. They should be a more elite low model high wound army but they arent. The best lists for them are using the various shooting units. On top of that the launch Stormcasts or the ones who came out right when AoS came out are all out classed by newer units. For instance the basic liberators (hammers and shield) are just straight up outclassed by Sequitors who have shields with mauls or swords.

DoW3 backflipping Angelos should not be canon. I have artel's Scorpions, Dragons and all of their seer-likes including Macha. Their detail and resin quality are top notch.

My only prior experience with Warhammer 40K is from reading the lore on websites and later youtube videos so this is just my perspective as an outsider. Now I dont want to piss anyone off but I find a lot of the fanbase onto be obnoxious especially on youtube and reddit. Its kinda hard to explain exactly what annoys me about some of them but it feels like they look down on other sci-fi franchises and are always comparing 40k to them to say that it is "better". Why do so many 40k fans do this kiwis?
>He is a cadia fagSo im lurking again and being a 40k fan I actually agree with this guy. I have noticed a rather large uptick of Warhammer 40k on youtube we went from the days of dumb ass tribute slide show music videos with heavy metal music and random DoW clips to a rather large community. I used to think 40k was a big community in like 2012 its fucking HUGE now. It leads to a lot of dumb "who would win conversations" which I gave up long ago but people still love to push them so I understand why other scifi fans are sick of hearing how Cato Sicarius could beat Halo or some shit.
I frankly think the increased praise/popularity of 40k comes down to other "sc-fi" juggernauts simply failing (Star Wars/Star Trek) people look at 40k and all get tickles and good feelings reading the decades of lore or maybe playing video games. Now this is a rather double edged sword since the increased popularity will lead to more eyes on the product as a whole (gatekeeping is needed blah blah you all know it). People already accuse Primaris and a lot of the recent lore as being to sanitized and appealing to executives so I frankly am not certain.
Keep in mind like I said I left Warhammer for a good 5 years over Cadia Falling and Age of Sigmar but I came back to now rather enjoy Age of Sigmar and have grown to like Primaris marines (model wise the lore is a little eh). However, I would almost classify Warhammer 40k 8th edition as a "reboot" of sorts not on the scale of AoS but 8th truly shook the very foundations of 40k id argue.

Then why would you care about cadia falling? God forbid abbadon achieve anything.Catachad actually the Cadians are Ultramarines of IG

I'm more of a Cadian sympathizer myself but I think Cadia falling was fine. It gave us the most Imperial Guard moment to have happened with a regiment fighting off the endless hordes of the warp as the planet crumbled to dust before they did. Then why would you care about cadia falling? God forbid abbadon achieve anything.
