Out of curiosity, how strict are the rest of you guys about WYSIWYG? I'm not much of a stickler, especially when it comes to stuff like Chaos Cultists.

Personally, as long as the model is -roughly- the right size and you have it recorded (say, on a roster sheet) I don't care much. I like custom 'counts as' bull shit figs :)

(The size thing is to keep people from playing silly buggers with certain base sizes and model sizes.)

For armies or skirmish? Its bullshit for skirmish no point in cutting up models that might die next round

If it gets to the point where I can't keep track of what's going on with your army without a list in my hand, then it's too much. I'd be more forgiving to a nid player. But if a shit ton of your stuff is using a different weapon then what is actually on the model, then go fuck off.

Yeah as long as it's visually readable it's fine. If your marine squads all have two flamer models but you say "All the flamers are missile launchers," that's fine. If they're all actually flamers and you say "This one squad actually has missile launchers," and maybe put a token next to the squad to remind me, that's fine. I color-code the bases of my models by squad for this reason. I can just say "Okay, the 30 orks with yellow bases have shootas, the 30 with red bases have choppas," or something like that. If they all have bolters and you say "These two bolters are actually missile launchers" then eat a dick.

"Oh no bro, this terminator with one wound left was always the one with the stormshield, not the one with the claws UwU"

Also if you're playing an army that would want to switch it's weapons a lot. Magnatize your parts you lazy fuck. Most units in the game require 2 to 8 magnets to swap weapons. Just to it if you're going to be changing loadouts every other game. Hell forge world stuff even has space in the mold for them. If that's such a huge problem, then play something that will never change it's load out. Like imperial fists or something.

So does 9th seem like GW is trying to basically super buff every army but we need to wait for the Codexes? That kinda sucks but people went from "Marines are OP" to worrying about Necrons over a few teases.

As an Ork player I just have so many models that I always have one with the loadout I need. Magnetizing is a massive pain in the ass.
Not very orky of you, ya git. Next youll tell me your trukk isnt made out of a milk carton and your stompa isnt made out of old pokemon cards.
