Looks like your word bearers have some competition on the most intolerable space marine chapter.Oh, c'mon!
Cawl's not even trying with the Covenant of Fire!
They even use the Heresy Era Word Bearer iconography!

The plan being brazen drakes 2?Nah. Everything is going just as planned.
I was planning on getting one of these gorgeous bastards:

...but then GW hit me with the price.
$195. The unmitigated gall of these guys.
They're more expensive than all of the plastic Knights, which are $157 USD for the Preceptor, Gallant, Warden, and Crusader and $170 for the Castellan and Valiant. But then there's the resin Knights from Forge World, which are $200 for the Questoris Knights, $300 for the Cerastus Knights, and $535 for the Acastus Knights. How much does that cost compared to say, a Knight?

I’d love to see the points value for these guys. Teclis is $175 and he’s around 400 points so these mega-gargants are most likely more, at least 500 points.I was planning on getting one of these gorgeous bastards:

So what's the over under on Christmas box sets this year? The last batch was kino.
I want admechSpace marines are a given but I doubt we’ll get chapter specific boxes this year. Necrons again since they’re the post bad guy this edition, another Cadian boxset with pretty much the same content as last year. An ork box that doesn’t contain a squad of nobs (optimism I know) and chaos space marines with again nearly the same content as last year.
All priced £125. We could possibly see a Sisters box this year but i’m doubtful that will happen.
If you don't have a hundred unbuilt nobz laying around then you're not a real Ork player.Space marines are a given but I doubt we’ll get chapter specific boxes this year. They do sound pretty awesome, with that whole deal of "Find the biggest, nastiest thing and take it down". Wonder if they have anger management issues... Also, seriously, Black Vipers for a name for guys notorious for having a skin color darker than Abaddon's soul?https://youtube.com/watch?v=AY7ywmbYB_E
I don't have my copy of the codex, but some of the new successor chapters look cool. I just find it hilarious that the salamanders successors are
A)wannabe word bearers and literal book burners
B) wanna be minotaurs, but answer to crawl
C) a chapter that spent a little too much time hanging with blood angels.
D) captain ahab
The krakens are my favorite tho.
gargant prices are a big ouch even as an AoS fan. Sad part is I’m pretty sure someone is gonna buy a whole army.
We have different definitions of "reasonably priced." Necron Warriors are the basic bitch, entry-level infantry unit. Ideally, they should be cheaper (and therefore more accessable) than other Necron products. What I was surprised by the newest pre-orders was that the 40k releases are somewhat reasonably priced. Necron Warriors for $45, Hexmark for $35, Firstrike Servo-Turret for $35, Invader ATV for $40.
I assumed that the warriors would have been $60 as is unfortunately the norm for new troop infantry, so seeing them be around the price of a tactical squad was a surprise. I was under the impression that pretty much every new unit would be priced in the $50-$60 range so to me that is a reasonable price considering I believe the original kit was nearing $40.We have different definitions of "reasonably priced."
