Just bought the Imperial Armour Compendium and started assembling my Word Bearers.
15 CSM and a Master of Possession down, 3 Contemptor Dreadnoughts, 1 Mhara Gal Dreadnought, 3 Obliterators, 2 Greater Possessed and a Venomcrawler to go.
Please note, that's what I have NOW. There's still a few things left to get.

Don't get me started on my Alpha Legionarres waiting to be built.

Why doesn't Games Workshop make all its limited time stuff made to order? This is getting tiresome.

I have like six Greater Possessed for my WB and I'm not sure where they came from.

Just impulse bought the Primaris Techmarine, now to buy at least 1 more Redemptor to make it worth including.

... How the fuck am I going to fit a techmarine in with angelos and 3 librarians?

Just blow your cp to fit them all in.

>he cant even take a librarian dread.

Didn't they make it so blood angels can have successors, so I could do blood angel flavored blood ravens and get my rightful libbydread?
You're thinking of the Salamanders and their totally-not-Word-Bearers successor chapter.

Nigga the phobos librarian is a couple years old now. Also yes the command edition rule book is just all the crunch from the core book. It's a shame the phobos librarian isn't more useful in general. It is a cool model.

Nobody I've seen plays Phobos except maybe Eliminators. However Auspex Tactics says they might have some potential in the current objective focused game, and being able to double move some Incursors/Infiltrators onto objectives with a psychic power seems decent.

As a blood angels player, sadly, they are completely worthless to me. But it would be good if more phobos models got used. I just think it's fucking retarded that a phobos librarian only buffs phobos units. Unless they changes that in the 9th codex.

He doesn't, 2 of the 6 abilities he has can only target Phobos units, one prevents targeted unit from being target of ranged attacks unless they are the closest, and the other lets it take another movement or full 6" advance, but can not shoot or charge.

Well that's something. I'm just biased because the whole primaris/Astartes spilt on shit is really fucking cancerous and retarded. Especially the transport shit. This is why I just use jump packs.

I know this might be late, but did anyone notice that Games Workshop stopped using FedEx and switched to using UPS to deliver things?
I wonder why, though.
Does UPS have better rates than FedEx right now?

Also the Space Wolves now have have successors, of which two have been given some character. The named one, Wolfspear, is said to be a brooding, hunting chapter that likes to strike on multiple fronts to confuse the enemy. They also got reinforcements from Fenris, so maybe they have some firstborn in their ranks?

The other chapter was unnamed, but apparently rejected the cultural trappings of Fenris completely. Now this has some implications. How do you have a Space Wolves Chapter without Fenrisian culture? I think that it would be interesting to developing a Space Wolves successor but had different cultural trappings, like Bedouin instead of Viking? Or maybe a chapter that had more of a relationship to technology sort of like the Iron Hands. Blood Claws are more human while Long Fangs are more machine, hence why they are affiliated with advanced weaponry.

The two packages I've got from them recently both went through UPS's UPS->Post Office service. The made to order Chaplain went through the decent one (ships via UPS until the last day, then handed off to USPS), the paint + plasma guns I ordered at the same time ($10 for some spare guns or $10 for shipping... well, k, that's an easy choice) went through "UPS Mail Innovations" which as far as I can tell is ... something weird. The tracking is basically "yeah, there is a package with that tracking number somewhere in the universe. You'll get it when you get it."

I'd probably go Space Celtic or Space Gaul with them, if one wishes to keep the feral tribalistic aspect to them. While the Germans were all about the wolf shit, the Gauls and to a lesser extent the Celts emphasized the boar, and even the stag to a greater deal. Of course, it would be difficult to implement the latter stuff in 40k since that deity went by the name of Cernunnos, and that would just profoundly demonstrate what hacks GW are when it comes to stealing names. They could have the Eldar be an ancient influence on mankind's development in some manner (mankind somehow ended up worshipping Kurnous in a debased form), but that would require actual talent and a willingness to make the Eldar interesting. That said, not sure what a good name for a boar-themed chapter would be. "Emperor's Tusks" maybe?

Are they just space Vikings that decided not to embrace their furry side or space furries that decided not to embrace their Viking heritage?

Who would win in a fight? 3 custodes with storm shields, or 40 boyz?
