Well I mean not really. Trajann is probably the single most powerful person in the imperium politically and as a warrior not counting Roboute. In some instances, Trajann's word even supercedes Roboute's. A single shield captain merely walking out of the palace was enough to get thousands of rioters on their knees begging for their lives. While the Assassinorum currently is probably the most threatening branch of the Administrotum. The only reason why inquisitors seem more threatening is because they are more out in the open. It's also been established in a few books now and that the Custodes and Assassinorum are on working terms with each other.

What if I told you the Inquisitor was actually an Alpha Legionnaire?

A normal inquisitor could probably do more damage to the imperium.

I mean fuck, the inquisitors had a big fucking autistic war over nothing with the Space Wolfs and actually somewhat damaged them, AFTER the bullshit on Fenris on top of that. Because the inquisition is the single most incompetent group of people in the whole imperium.

Nobody expects the Inquisition (to be competent)!

Like fuck bud. The ordo xenos and the deathwatch are fine because their escapades are easily defined. But the other ordos and the grey knights.... Fuck what a disaster. They probably compete with daemons and heretics with how much imperial planets they destroy.

If the Alpha Legion were smart, goading the Inquisition to Exterminatus planets valuable to the Imperium would be a top strat.

Well fuck all they have to do is show up apperently and talk to a civilian, and that's enough.

Or Alpharius could pretend to be ONE OF THE TOTALLY AND ETERNALLY LOYAL DARK ANGELS and let that Chapter of CONSCIENTIOUS AND NOT AT ALL TEAM-KILLING Marines do what they do in those circumstances.

Even the dark angels autism of inner circles inside inner circles is too autistic for the alpha legion...

In one of the PA books the Alpha Legion accidentally creates an entire planet of Imperium aligned super-psychics that summon avatars of the Emperor ("Order Demons," basically) and destroy Chaos demons by looking at them. Basically anti-blanks.

... And then the Iron Hands decide to kill the entire planet with the help of the Sisters of Silence and Inquisition, because sometimes the Alpha Legion doesn't even need to be smart.

Normally its a terrible idea to rely upon the enemy's stupidity to win your battles for you. When your enemy is the IoM, its actually a pretty safe thing to hedge your bets with.

If I played CSM, Alpha Legion would definitely be my first pick, DG close second.

Sons of Malace, darnit.

Although I just realized these shifter paints would make for an interesting take on Alpha Legion armor. Hm. Wonder if there's a green/blue one.

In case you people forgot, The LE of Ravenor and the Siege of Terra map are up for preorder in the US(they have been for 2 hours). So go over now if you care.
