IIRC there is a story where a statue of Tychus(I may be spacing on the name) has a statue in honor somewhere in the Ultramarine's possession, at least implying he was redeemed in the official record.
Captain Titus was the MC of Space Marine.
Interestingly, he was the Captain of 2nd Company, which was commanded by Cato Sicarius in canon.

Wait people can fly is working on a 40k game where?

Sorry, might not of written that in the clearest manner. They are working on two new AAA titles still unknown. I think their style would be great for a Space Marine FPS.

Thanks, I knew it was T-something, I thought maybe I mixed it up with the Squad Leader from Dawn of War 2 , but that was Tarkus... so I'm left with the shame of assuming I mixed in a Starcraft 2 character with 40k.

Space Marines would best be represented in a Doom-like one versus a bazillion style game. Really Darktide being Guard is a bit of a loss. 4vHorde coop is perfect for Astartes. 4 flashlight boys taking down hundreds of grots is a bit of a push and I'm sure they'll be gunning down boyz and nids at that rate.

I think a Battlefront/field style game would be great for IG/Orks/Mechanicus/some variations of Chaos/Tau. Astartes would be hard to balance, other than as a general Imperium "Heroic" call in like in Battlefront. I think nids would be harder to balance unless it was a lot like Battlefront with large armies of trash NPCs and you're starting above -guants. Basically 40k Tarpit battlefield with the bigger boys being call ins.
There already exists a 4vHorde coop first person shooter staring Space Marines. Deathwing Ascension. You play as Dark Angels boarding a Space Hulk and doing the normal space hulk things in it. That's why Darktide is refreshing for not pushing Space Marines for once. The trailer only shows 4 guardsmen on a recon sweep clearly about to have a really bad day. The art on the website for the game seemed to imply that those weren't the protagonists but it will be more specialist type guardsmen including an Ogryn and they are facing a Nurgle infestation so the bulk of the enemy will be zombies.

I do like the Battlefront like idea. It could be like Titanfall where there was weak npcs running the map trying to take objectives and serve as fodder for the players.

I'd love it more games had playable IG and were creative about managing your low life expectancy. For example if there was to be a Warhammer action rpg you'd have the standard characters like the Space Marine Champion or Vindicare assassin but then you'd have the IG Commander. They'd be the standard minion archetype but even scummier. The commander would be the playable character in hubs and safe zones all pompous in a dress uniform but in the actual field you'd directly control a disgruntled overworked vox operator calling in all the minions and fire support using his vox set to allow the Commander to make his exposition and cutscenes appearances remotely while occasionally quipping himself for comedic effect. They'd have a dynamic a bit like Castor and Merrick from Dawn of War 2.

Forgive the potato camera and shit lighting.

One on the right is the small, 22" x 16". $25. One on the left is the large, 32" x 22". $35. I might try it again with an AI upscaled version of the art.

I'd show you the official GW version to compare, but they literally wouldn't take my money. But they wanted $65 for 23.38" x 16.54".

The model of the month is a deathguard, so if you go in the store, dont forget to ask for it.

What is everyone's thoughts on using Legends units? Personally, I don't see any problem playing with or against them. I love my Grot kannons, and don't see them as a disruptive influence on the game.

The problem with legends units isnt that they are "disruptive to the game", the problem is that they are fucking ass 90% of the time. Most of them are so bad you might as well just homebrew your own shit to save time.

But, would you object to playing against someone bringing inferior Legends units to the table?

No, why would I if they are using legends rules? I would just table them turn 1 anyway, or watch them bounce of my units. They dont allow them in tournaments, but just casually in a game shop? your opponent would have to be super retarded to do that.

The eldar Bonesinger is so bad at his job, you're better off just having a farseer as support when running wraiths. Not even vehicles benefit much from having one around. That said, I love the mini.

My entire AdMech army just came out as transgender. You have to like this or you're bigots.

Now my necron army is 2 indomitus boxes and the battle force. Thats actually not too shabby.

Well, I stumbled upon something 40k related that I could only share here: a black guy with a hood dialect talking about 40k.

Here he is rapping about Konrad Kurze:https://youtube.com/watch?v=unyxjZrhTiA
A review of Night Lords Trilogy:https://youtube.com/watch?v=o_BGwa35fB4
Him detailing his frustrations about the Blood Angels Omnibus:https://youtube.com/watch?v=5519TNx2_O0
And finally, his painting skills (from a glance, needs to thin his paints, but we all start from somewhere):https://youtube.com/watch?v=c-UfaNk4Fdc
Went through some of his videos, his takes is absolutely on point.

"They ain't been doing a good job with the chaos primarchs too well man, fulgrim is some sort of dope fiend. Perturabo don't need to be raped like that"
