I'm gonna get that free plague marine and paint it with the paint scheme I've always wanted to see on them. Since I think the GW paint scheme is awful for them.
If I like how it turns out. I might pick up a few here are there.

Mortarion is already looking to be decently stronger. Might not draw so much fire like usual considering he is tougher. Might be smarter to just try and take out his smaller buddies.

The Primaris Marines would have worked better if Guilliman really was out to piss off the retrograde aspects of the Imperium so he can have an excuse to kill them all. Like say, it goes like this:
Roboute Guilliman: Here, we have the new Primaris Marines which will serve as the vanguard for the next generation!
Ecclesiarchy/traditionalist Space Marine Chapters/more narrow-minded Techpriests and Lords of Terra: HEY! YOU CAN'T DO THAT! IT GOES AGAINST TRADITION! GUILLIMAN IS A TRAITOR, IT'S CIVIL WAR TIME!
*Primaris Marines crush the rebels with their upgraded geneseeds, weapons, and armor, along with support from loyalist Space Marine Chapters, the Navis Imperialis, and the Astra Militarum.*
Roboute Guilliman: YAY! Now I have a more unified Imperium with no bullshit politics or superstitions to get in my way! Dad's dream of a progressive empire protecting humanity will now flourish!
That would not only be in-keeping with the lore, but it would totally be in Guilliman's character to annihilate the more backwards-thinking aspects of the Imperium so he can run it the way his father would. Then he'd finalize his deal with Yvraine's group of Eldar so he can figure out how to have Imperium ships use Eldar Webway technology, and his Imperium would be set. No bullshit politics, no superstition, and his dad would no longer have to serve as a glorified FTL beacon.
Instead, the Primaris, despite breaking almost everything about how Space Marine chapters work, are accepted by most SM chapters, and the Imperium barely even flinches at the fact that Guilliman and Cawl tampered with their god's work in order to make soldiers from Mars that would mostly be loyal only to the people who made them, instead of to the specific SM chapters that they're assigned to. None of the more retrograde aspects of the Imperium throws a hissy fit, and everything works just as fine.
Yeah, it seems as if GW just wiped their asses with their own lore. For the billionth time.
Forget lore rape, it's practically lore sodomy at this point.

I apologize for being MOTI in my last post, i had seen this kind of plot twist too often and it never goes right that combining me being fed up with that and that I have a problem controlling my emotions influenced my judgment badly.
Also I have a few others questions for people on the thread: is it worth it to download old non-novels, non-rpgs Warhammer 40k & Warhammer Fantasy books?
I really want to play some Warhammer games, any that would be recommended beyond the Dawn of War and Dawn of War II games?
Would any of you be interested in playing a game of one the tabletop rpgs?
WTF? How bad are things? I don't really have access to Warhammer related news except when i randomly find them so should I concerned?

A friend of mine did some comparison.
+1 Toughness, +1 attacks.
Wound track changed slightly (switches to second track at 9 now and third track at 5, as opposed to 8 and 4).
Lantern range nerfed to 12" from 18".
Eviscerating blow now deals d3+3, not d6.
Host of Plagues changed to use contagion rules, no longer deals d3 mortal wounds. Can't say if this is good or not since we don't have the contagion rules for 40k yet.
Now has 'Primarch of the Death Guard' and 'Lord of the Death Guard' abilities. LotDG works like the old PotDG ability did, reroll 1's. New PotDG ability lets you select a core unit or character and they can reroll any hit rolls. Overall a buff.

-Some SoB shit.

old codices and stuff? sure, why not, they're not that large and nice to have if you want to see how stuff changed over the years or for old lore. games depends what you want from it, there are quite a few doing different things.
as for RPGs, no idea how active the farms are in that regard (knowing kiwis it will probably lead to an endless discussion which one anyway).

I will totally buy that. Alpharius is my favorite traitor primarch.
Space Hulk Deathwing is pretty good, so is Space Marine if you can get it to run without crashing. I'd be interested in trying one of the tabletop games, either Dark Heresy if we could find the books or the new Age of Sigmar one since I already have some of the materials for it.

I have every books for every tabletop 40k rpg from Dark Heresy 1e to 2e with all the other games released in between those and nearly all books for all editions of Warhammer Fantasy so if anyone needs the books for one of them i can send them to anyone interested but only thing is i'm not creative enough to be the one running the game for others

I think critiquing the way the company paints their model is most of the time retarded and pointless. But there has been more then a few models in the past where its like "I have to wait for the unpainted picture to come out."
I won't even get into the fact that this is a another PRIMARIS ULTRAMARINE MONOPOSE CAPTAIN release.
