Oh it gets worse, he made a blog post about it:

So this was a female primaris marine that went renegade, got their ass kicked by the Iron Warriors. And the simp of a chaos lord decided to grant her warsmith status.

Isn’t this the same legion that looked down on Honsou for having a chimeric gene-seed?

Battle-sister La’Tawnisha would have been capped with a bolt round on the spot and been fed to the chaos spawn.
That was . . . embarrassing beyond belief to read. That is literally just every twelve-year-old girl's first super-speshul self-insert fanfic character crammed into a suit of power armor and set loose upon the internet. Like, I'm more upset about the sheer unoriginality of this backstory than I am about the canon-rape.

Can someone link me where I would get started learning all the lore. Books to read, etc.

From there, here's a list for The Horus Heresy books:
That will build the foundation of how the state of the 41st Millenium came to be.
After that, consult this:
But, there are some fun events like the Siege of Vraks & the Badab War which don't have novels attached to them (I wish they did though).
The Imperial Armour Books cover those.

Thank you. Should I just go in chronological order?

After the Horus Heresy, I'm not sure where to go from there.
There are novels that are attached events like the Third War for Armageddon, which is considered a past event to where the current storyline line is (the Indomitus Crusade). I don't have a complete list of which novel happens when on the timeline to help, unfortunately.

So I recently listened to the second Dawn of Fire novel, the Gate of Bones. Anyone worried Horus Heresy 2 was going to move the state of the galaxy further, fuck all happens. There are too many characters again, so no one gets to shine. I like the Custodes bits, especially the difference in their opinions, and one's distaste for the Sisters of Battle's faith. Basic plot is "Chaos has a plan that might threaten Girlyman but it doesn't"

You guessed it, a troon

What I love most about this is that the troon made the model black.

Let's just put all lore and established canon aside for a second. I can almost understand making the model a woman because they identify as one and it suits their agenda; they want female space marines. But there is NO reason to make their little Iron Warrior black other than to to score woke points. If it was a female Celestial Lion then whatever, but a fucking Iron Warrior?

I have a small Imperial Guard army and I've got a few black soldiers in there, but that's just to add some variety. This guy went out of his way to make his super special female Iron Warrior black with dreads.

More than likely the Iron Warriors would see but one use of a FEMALE PRIMARIS.... and that is getting her ready for a reverse c-section and getting the gene-bulking tools ready.

My personal rec would be looking up novels associated with the faction you're most into, and reading those. You can do this to take a break from horus heresy when you inevitably get tired.

What's a good strategy on dealing with primaris erradicator squads. I realize I'm asking a den full of SM players but there might be solid experiences worth sharing.

Lock them up with melee fodder. dont have melee fodder? Dont bring too many targets theyd want to shoot like tanks and just run cricles around them because they are slow, while they take shots at random bullshit.

Hold on. Is it just me or?

Lol get fucked GW. You can still get Necron halves of Indomitus for $90.

The Space Marines half is worse than expected too. Not terrible if you want the characters, since Bladeguard and Eliminators alone will run you $120, but that's a box of mostly desired units at least, not Necron chaff that people have been kitbashing into canoptek spiders.

Yea but the $60 boxes are multipart kits. $120 for 6 push fits is bull shit.

£95 for Pariah Nexus. I’m actually surprised by this which says a lot about GW. I was expecting £5 tacked on considering the price of the 9th Ed starter.

I'm seriously considering buying two Start Collecting Vanguard Space Marines when I finish my Elite Box. It's clear that it's too good of a deal for 9th edition and I'll bet when Codex Raven Guard is released, it'll be replaced with a Combat patrol that has, let's say, 5 less Incursors/Infiltrators, Shryke instead of the Lt, and maybe Inceptors for the Suppressors, which sounds ok so let's say they don't come with the plasma option.

Codex compliant chapters are not getting supplements or codexes maybe they might get a box release.
