The business perspective here is that they are filling their roster for War-flix. The dude still has his patreon, were he gets his money. I don't know why the idea that they just recut it to be copyright friendly is such an absurd reach. I think this another case of fa/the/uys shitting their pants and crying for no reason.
The soundtracks in the original were literally from Dread and Sicario so theres no way it could have flew then. I do not want to defend GW since some people are overreacting but at the same time this is real thin ice they are walking tbh.

I think the worst part is people are saying "GW is gonna force him to use Ultramarines now gay!!!!!!". I hate this this selective bias people have with marines nowadays since memes have plagued their minds you can have an Ultramarine do something or anything really and people scream marine wank but change the color its suddenly "based". If anything I hope The Retributors are canon even though their lore seems to just be Imperial Fist Raptors.

I don't see how this is thin ice. It's either they do it, or it doesn't happen.

>codex isn't even out for deldar
>Already confirmed to be in the new vigilus supplement.

2 books to play a major faction as soon as it's codex comes out...

> Major faction

... At times it feels like the only Major factions left in 40k after 7th/8th/9th are Space Marines and Chaos Space Marines. Everything else is an NPC faction. We're literally coming back around to HH from the other direction at this point.

Yeah I thought necrons were the big bads of 9th this time. I honestly might start a necron army after I finish up some non-40k project but its like the entire reveal of the silent king coming back and everything fell flat.

I understand the copyright issues but other people are having issues over some edited changes. I was never really a big Astartes fan like some people are it looks very nice but it just seemed like a generic marine stomp.

I don't understand why they keep putting eldar and dark eldar into big fancy duel faction box sets if they refuse to update the range. It's pretty much just a milstone around the neck of the box as a whole.

First Bladeguard done except for the base.

Was pretty fun to paint. Sad that the helmet came out a bit rough, I didn't use my magnifier for most of it and I didn't notice it until it was too late. Not bad all together considering it was a used model that was already glued together. Hopefully the next two come out better. Also tried out edge highlighting a little bit of the armor for the first time, came out okay, you can tell I started at the boot lol.

Maybe it's meta.
My 4th edition starter box was thus even back then and it's kinda cute for the decadent space elves to be relics that never get updated

Vigilus Supplement?
I must have missed this info.
*Charadon supplement

Lol 40k needs to share their preview with AoS, we are getting more necromunda garbage, and they are only going to show the new techpriest.

I am slightly hyped for Necromunda they teased the Redemptionists a while ago and if we get a Klovis the Redeemer alongside it I will COOONSOOOOOOOM. I know I jack off to tacticool shit like Raptors and Phobos but when it comes to the crazy wacky side of 40k The Redeemer is my favorite piece imagine being so insane so zealous even the Imperial Cult labels you as "too extreme"

Neconsoomda.

Neconsoomda.
I probably wont even play it just want the models since I love that comic so much. I feel the reveal will mostly be AoS with one 40k thing they are going to reveal the Bonereaper underworlds team, another nu-vampire model, and something for Belakor. 40k fans will just get their Admech LT. standin and then we have another weekend of 40k players crying while AoS guys all shitpost saying their model diversity is amazing blah blah. Thats how most of these fucking reveals have been for the past couple months.

Not that GW is this forward-thinking but from a game design standpoint it occurred to me that if you hung a lantern on it this would actually be a pretty clever way to control balance and power creep in a living game you're gonna keep expanding: designate an "ancient" and unchanging faction early on to use as baseline. Then go hog wild with everything else, but make sure that original static reference army can still win battles.
It'd be conceptually cool as long as you were open about it, and they wouldn't have to worry about grognards not buying new minis over the past 20 years because nobody would play them anyway since elves are gay

I think it would make more sense for them to freeze snapshots of a faction and use those as baselines to avoid power creep, but yeah, that would be very forward-thinking and there's no way GW would do it.

But somewhere in the Multiverse, GW playtesters are ensuring their secret 1750 point Squat Army can still survive against Primaris Ultramarine spam.

You can still win games as Craftworlds if you bring a Harlequin detachment, or if your opponent stabs himself in the eye with a primaris techmarine poleaxe.
The problems show up less if you're not playing larger games, I'd say. I've been playing a lot of pure Craftworlds at 1000 points and have been doing very well, since almost all of the standard non-horde lists aren't great against the trifecta of Smite spam, Shining Spears and Dark Reapers.
With 9e's push for tiny boards, I feel that the game is at its best at smaller point totals anyway, with 2k often just turning into a mess in the midboard.

Man I hate the modern fanbase surrounding 40k nowadays. /tg/ and 40kg are just garbage for it now If you post anything primaris you are a paypig, anything necrons always has the nucron and old cron shitposting, and anything Deathguard you are a nu-nurgle shitter. I should not care over dumb shitposting but it is like you cant win sometimes on /tg/ anymore people just argue for the sake of the le epic trolling. Reddit just seems like a lot of lorefags and or WAACfags no where in between with a good amount of shitty memers. Do people even use Bolter and Chainsword still? I never liked it back in the day and expect it to be kinda bad like most legacy forums.

The lorefags on reddit are just fags, though.
