This really just hammers the themes of Dark Eldar will rape your ass but are major glass canons have always been in 40k. I wonder if we will get some new lore that makes people angry I noticed people got mad at how Dark Eldar had a boner for capturing primaris marines since they were "amazing" and that apparently rubbed people the wrong way.

yes, but now instead of a glass cannon that fires a cotton ball, they can finally deal some damage.
 
I really dislike Games Workshop. Partly because of their business model, with retardedly steep pricing for no discernable reason, and partly because of shit like this.

I've heard a lot about people recasting Warhammer models. Does anyone know a website where you can find good recasted models in Europe? I'd like to get into painting some models by buying recasted ones.

Here's how I found the recasters I would go through if I bothered to do so.

Google a forge world kit name, or a mainline GW kit that's either out of print / LE or popular.

Look at the bottom of the search results for the DMCA notification.

Open said notification and check the domain names provided.

There's also reddit, ebay, etsy, etc.

I’d like if more people actually tried other table top games if 40k/GW annoys them but it kinda feels like people will just complain about some new lore or GW in general, brag about how they 3D print, buy recasts, pirate all the rules, and then brag about GWs time is coming since more people are doing it. Although they still play 40k which I personally find counter intuitive since it doesn’t quite hurt GW if thier games are still being pushed in clubs and stores which technically perpetuates a “monopoly” so much people accuse GW of having on table top.

It’s just my 2 cents although 3D printing is real fuckin neato.

I think what keeps people coming back to GW is that you can inject a personality into your army and not have to follow the meta. For instance, Fantasy Flight's Star Wars games are well made, but they are tied around the characters of the franchise. You can't tell the adventures of your unique rebel cell or imperial armada because you will probably have a unique character or technology that wouldn't fit in a certain period of Star Wars history. While in 40k, you can create incredible stories of vast apocalyptic battles that in any other franchise would be a turning point in the story because 40k outright states that thousands of conflicts are fought every day and most battles go unremembered. You can have a 2000 point army of all grots, and armies like that do exist in the lore. But for Star Wars, even if you could have an all ewok army, they could only fight on Endor.

I guess what I am trying to say is that GW has set up their games to allow people to express their imaginations in a way that doesn't break the rules of the universe and that attracts people to their games even with all of the negatives.

Pity xeno releases to get the masses calmed down. Though I may get back into orks if they update boyz.
