huh.

A massive revamp of the Orks is coming. Finally a Boss in Mega Armor (which was removed from the game because they didn't make a figurine for it and they lost that lawsuit), as well as a bunch of Squig based stuff.

I've been told a 50/50 mix of windex and distilled water make a good cheaper air brush cleaner. Only used mine 3 times, but it seems to work well.

I've also heard that bottom shelf vodka makes a good thinner, bit that I have not tried.

I'm not a fan of these feral Orks. It's this an attempt to move them away from the "easy to build yourself cheap" scrap heap aesthetic, or did that just have some AoS sculptors they needed to keep busy?

Yeah the head is different but I just don’t see them replacing that kit. Maybe it’s a special centerpiece model? They made a new named character, Prince Vhordrai, a blood knight that is bound to fight wherever the Crimson Keep materializes. Releasing a proper model for him along with the other blood knights would be perfect.

Since they got robot horses. Theme song here.

Outside of the forges, Mars is one giant post-apocalyptic hellhole. You had the collapse with the Age of Strife, then you had the Horus Heresy when they had finally recovered from that with the help of the Emperor's patronage and very watchful eye to make sure they didn't fuck things up for him (of course when he got distracted with his webway project the Fabricator-General proceeded to do exactly that, so...). Its basically if Fallout had another apocalypse happen.
You know, I was going to be really sad if I clicked on that Youtube link and it wasn't Knights of Cydonia. Thanks for not letting me down. Unlike fucking Forge World.

Here's how I found the recasters I would go through if I bothered to do so.

Google a forge world kit name, or a mainline GW kit that's either out of print / LE or popular.

Look at the bottom of the search results for the DMCA notification.

There's also reddit, ebay, etsy, etc.
Thanks for the tip! I'll try to go about this dirty business by your methods! :)
Just buy the books instead of emptying your wallet on tiny pieces of plastic.
That does sound like a good idea, even though that's not exactly the kind of experience I was initially looking for. Are there any books in particular that you'd recommend I should read if I want to get into 40k or Age of Sigmar respectively?
If you hate GW, don't play WAHMMA, simple as.
You're definitely on to something, but I must say, there is just something cozy and invigorating about the Warhammer miniatures. Whether you're assembling a Battle Sister's glorious wings, or painting Nurgle's beautiful intestines dropping out of his stomach, it's all just quite wholesome. I've disliked Games Workshop for some time now, though, so perhaps I should stick to not being yet another of their consoomers.

Does any of you know of a company that makes WW2 miniatures that are especially to your liking, by the way? I'm certainly interested in those as well, and I figure maybe some of you fine folks are painting things other than Warhammer?

The Eisenhorn, Ravenor and Horusian Wars series are good in order to learn how the Inquisition works, and the first two are decent starter books for 40k in general.

The Gaunt's Ghosts and Ciaphas Cain books give insight into how the Imperial Guard does things, and Cain is an entertaining protagonist.

I haven't gotten into either Warhammer Fantasy or Age of Sigmar yet so I can't give any advice in that quarter.

And I was just thinking about how I need a bearded head with a cybernetic implant for that Skitarii Marshall. The Omnissiah provides.

But... not quite stoic enough I think. I dunno. Make a cigar out of plastic rod, a little smoke coming off the lit end using some cotton and modgepodge? Paint the scars with metal staples, maybe make a few of the "segments" metallic instead of flesh?

Hm. Could work.

Helsreach was the book that got me into 40K, so I recommend it in a heartbeat.
After that, I recommend the Horus Heresy novels if you want to learn about how the state of the 41st Millennium came to be.

I'm pretty sure these guys are Exorcists. The terminator above the bearded dude is definitely an Exorcist. The candles on his shoulder are a dead giveaway, and he has the chapter badge on his crotch.

EDIT: Nevermind, I've been corrected.
