Top oil wash done:

Later I'll complete the bottom/sides, then start working on some heavier oiling in a handful of spots.

So the new HH box set, what do you guys want in plastic? MK IIs, MK Vs, HH-era Elephant Termies, retro jump packs, Saturines?..... Do we dare hope that something good came from Death of Hope by showing people how cool Saturines are?

I’ll put money down that it’ll be themed as Blood Angels vs Sons of Horus.

I really would just like plastic Mark II armor. Give me that and I'm fine.

Been waiting on these for a long time now

I’ve also been looking at the cardboard terrain GW used to produce and I wish tables looked this comfy again
It’s a shame modern cardboard sets cost anywhere up to £80
The first cardboard terrain I owned came in my copy of the classic 2nd Edition book, White Dwarf presents: 40K battles. A friend goaded me into buying it just so he could take the cardboard bunker and keep it at his house for safe keeping.

Just finished Sons of the Selenar. A good ending to the Sisypheum arc. The afterword was interesting as Graham would have had a more positive ending but didn't want to give characters "plot armor". Definitely, a recommendation if you like "success no matter the cost" stories like Force 10 from Navaronne.

I tell ya, more than anything I want McNeil to revisit Forges of Mars and Honsou. I’ve got this idea of a conflict between an IW Grand Company led by Honsou, on a mission from Perturabo himself and the surviving crew of the Speranza with Telok as a rogue variable in between.

Maybe the Speranza was lost when the Great Rift formed and that’s when Telok made his move.
