So they did Primaris Sigmarines so they can re-use the Primaris Space Marines CAD stuff they already have? I mean, change the outer layer from power armor to animal motiff knight armor, and you switch from a Marine to a Sigmarine. And with some of them (looking at that one marine with a giant fuck you executioner's sword) they don't even have to really do that, do they?
The new Stormcast are a bit too human structured, the primaris have more armor and look bulkier. Not to mention the Stormcast models have both male and female body types that designer have to incorporate.

I was surprised that GW didn't open up a new Stormcast chamber. Looking back at the battletome, there are three unopened chambers: Ruination (my guess is war engines), Covenant (I assume priests), and Logister (I don't know, administrators?). But I guess GW doesn't want to blow its load on radically different Stormcast units every three years.

To be fair 2nd Edition Stormcast already had people questioning many of the 1st edition releases now the new 3rd edition puts the nail in the coffin fully. Seeing as how both models shown seem to have clear comparisons to early AoS Liberators and Retributors,

To me it looks less like primaris and more like Armor Mks?

I'm not a SC collector, and don't have strong opinions about their new line either way. GW needs to make the Stardrake not-terrible because that's the centerpiece that would actually sell the army.

I'm much more interested in these swamp beasties. It's crazy that Destruction has got two new armies over the span of a year.

Most of my Stormcast stuff was in the middle the vanguard and Sacroscant stuff. This new 3rd edition stuff really makes me interested I love the giga nigga Annihilators since they look 10 times better than Retributors.

I don't know, they both look pretty bling to me. Then again I don't play age of smegma.

Actually the more I look at this picture. The more it looks like they are just dumbing down the design. Like yea we all make the dumb sigmarine joke. But the far right design is REALLY fucking close to just being a sang guard. The 2 on the left have more going on, the robbed one just looks kinda shit, and the newest one is like... An actual sigmarine. Like taken right from a blood angels tac squad. The giga nigga is cool though.

GW: We've got new footage of what to expect in the newest edition of Age of Sigmar!

*Video plays of Stormcast sycophants jacking off onto a Soul Wars box for 2 hours
*

I shouldn't have expected more than this...

Meh I have enjoyed AoS the last 3 years, and it seems to be only getting better; even though I play trash tier beastmen. Hopefully, 3.0 gives a system similar to 40k's Crusade Campaign, and some better secondary's and missions. They also need to fix the morale system ala 40k.

Might be better to do the different map sizes based on points as well.

It’s interesting to see how both AoS and 40K inform each other on how to improve gameplay. AoS second edition received command points because of 40k while 40k ninth edition took the hero phase to create the command phase. Though I am surprised that 40k did not take the endless spells from AoS. Though I would like it if wizards in AoS could take some sort of perils for rolling double ones or sixes, there’s no real punishment for a miscast.

Endless Spells? Gotta save something for 40k 10th Edition.

I think there is no perils in AoS since magic is kinda somewhat understood in AoS in order to disable magic you need to bring a really powerful wizard or witch hunters if the army has them. The Realm of Chaos/Warp are technically the same thing but rules for both settings are different. You cant quite kill a demon in 40k while in AoS and even Fantasy I recall killing demons permanently was achievable.

Demons can be perma killed in 40K, I think its just more rare. One occasion I remember is from the Asurmen novel, he perma kills a demon prince. Also didn't Guillemin perma kill a greater demon of Nurgle with his daddies sword.

Daddy's Sword can do it, and the Alpha Legion helped create an entire planet of Emperor Aligned Psykers that can do it by merely looking at demons, called the Humble Saints. The Iron Hands proceed to genocide the entire fucking planet at the express objections of the Sisters of Battle, because Grimdark.

Basically any army besides GSC can just look at an army of Daemons and utterly destroy them (though Slaanesh isn't too bad). What is my elite squad of Plague Drones going to do, bump into you?

Daemons are actually pretty strong right now.
