Speaking of lost memories, is there an explanation as to why Arkhan the Black and Neferata don't seem to care for each other anymore? Not that I'm complaining, I like it better this way.

A funky fresh cryptek!

@Love_Machine011 Pre-orders for Soulblight are up. And funny thing with the prices. Technically the new versions of the Skeletons and Blood Knights are cheaper than the older models, as you get 20 skeletons for $60, when two boxes of 10 would be $68 and the Blood Knights are no longer in Finecast and not $100.

The Mortarchs are not the original versions of the characters, they are reincarnations created by Nagash and thus they could be considered autonomous constructs. Still I can't think of a justification for bringing back Mannfred. Maybe his selfish nature means that he will always be around to be a useful pawn. We all think Vlad would be a better choice, but his love of Isabella would be seen as a detriment for Nagash, as Vlad would sacrifice himself to save his wife.

Vlad the Impaler was the best ruler Sylvania ever had. Change my mind.

I finished reading Gloomspite. Dull protagonists, meh ending, but fun creepiness throughout and an air of mystery I wasn't expecting. I don't think I've ever read such a sinister story about grobi. They're definitely not portrayed as loveable goofballs here.

Goddamn, Valrak really got fucked up, falling 10-12 feet from roof to concrete and breaking/fracturing the length of his body in a manner he describes as the best case scenario.

So, the White Dwarf magazine featuring The Fallen came out.
8 pages of fluff.
No datasheets.
Literally copy & pasted The Fallen Specialist Detachment rules from Vigilus Ablaze, which is hilarious since you can't use Specialist Detachments in tournament play, they're very limited in Crusade, and thus leaves them only to be used without handicaps in a casual Matched Play setting.
GG, GW.
Really screwing the pooch, there.

WD really deserving that Fallout-style price point!

So I finished Saturnine and I'm a fourth of a way into Mortis.

Thoughts:
Erda was as god damned dumb as you warned me but overall the action in Saturnine was great. The Camba Diaz last stand was great. The actual Saturnine assault and ambush was great. The start of the "interrogators" was good. I think it was a decent book. If you cut out Erda it would have been better. Somewhat disappointed that Mortis has very little reflection on what happened with the Saturnine gambit. I mean you had most of the 1st company and 3/4ths of the Mournival wiped out yet its treated like a footnote. Maybe it gets better.

I just read Fallen players go through the 5 stages of grief in reaction to the White Dwarf issue.
And this is just reddit:
I know what GW put out was ass, but the reactions are funny.
To be serious for a moment, I hope a 9th edition CSM Codex fixes this trashfire.

Makes the idea of traitor guard and dark mechanicus a lot less appealing.

I don't know if this thread cares much about the animation side of Warhammer, but it seems they are doing their own thing for the releases, Warhammer+(like Disney plus i guess, shit name). And as much as I hate myself for it, ill probably subscribe because I wanna see Astartes 2. Hopefully GW hasn't fucked with the creators creative freedom, since I enjoyed the first Astartes animation, and would be very disappointed if 2 was shit.

I was happy with angels of death besides that combi pistol sounding like it weighs as much of a lighter
