While a lot of armies I'd have interest in, thinking about it, if I was going to go with a second army(well, probably third if I get the "magazine" subscription that is coming to the US now, I'll have a necron army) it'd probably be Orks.

That or a 200 Guard Conscript army if I'm allowed to use unpainted army men.

The only saving grace I see is that the off hand might not be fused to the weapon barrel.
But I still expect this to be a far inferior kit that isn't compatible with every other model in the range like the old boyz.

Something about the design of SC makes them really boring. I can't be bothered to like or dislike them, I think it's lightnings being shoved everywhere and the skinnyfat torsos their armor used to have since the chunkier models like Paladins/whatever the new heavy armor SC guys look better.

I will admit when the SC aren't painted like Custodes, they become INFINITELY more appealing. I've seen one of the official... not-chapters? that are turquoise, those looked amazing, others in more muted metals (silver and brass), others in odd stuff -- one was a Lapis Lazuli, like, Ultramarine blue with streaks of gold in the armor. That was amazing, but I haven't been able to find it since seeing it once on Plebbit.

Custodes still look damn good in gold with red. They look even better when they're painted to look like Marble or black and brass or what have you, but they can at least make the gold work. Sigmarines, I dunno about it. We haven't seen too much of the Primaris Sigmarines. Hopefully they're a bit better.

... Of course, if I get the boxed set, I'll be painting mine like Blood Ravens. Red armor + bone shoulderpads with black trim.

I plant on getting the sigmar box, I'll probably find something to do with the stormcasts. The anvils of helden hammer or knights exelsior probably. But the orks are what I want.

I like the dominion box, by which I mean I like the kruleboyz. But the Snakebite battle box that's supposed to drop the next month seems like a better way to get some new Ork sculpts without having to deal with half the box being sigmarines.

Does anyone know if there's any fantasy/AoS novels worth reading?
Only ask cause I'm getting a little tired of just reading 40k novels at the moment and I'm started to get a little more interest in the old fantasy lore/setting and AoS albeit to a lesser extent.
