How will GW ever recover from this devastating blow?
A drone strike with a dirty bomb on Notthingham would have done less damage than this absolutely chad move from the top minds of the Warhammer 40k community.
A blow which of course came when the most casual and retarded project shut down.
Nigger cattle the whole lot of them

I wanted to post about it. It's a massive red flag when a content creator stops uploading but keeps his patreon on. Especially considering alfa barely uploaded as it is and his quitting painted him as a victim.

Basically, expect him to open a twitter handle for his dog. Also patreon simps gonna simps.
Honestly can you blame him? If I was in his position I'd leave it open too. Kid or not getting paid 24 grand a month todo fuck all is like winning the lottery and if hes smart he'll get an irl job, completely forget about tts or ever coming back and just enjoy the gravy train.

I find it strange some random red shirt would do that
inconsistently applied corporate policy and/or powertripping staff.

even if the order comes from up top to crack down on that and/or "push gw products aggressively", the smarter ones recognize it's still a customer to some degree, and a model painted in different paints is still a model from your company. and even if it's a complete recast where nothing on it is from GW, showing that off will still get more people come into your store and buy shit to follow that than turn around and order non-gw stuff exclusively (unless you're some grog with a grudge), given GW's antics I wouldn't be surprised if they ban too extensive kitbashes too...

as usual either the company is retarded and the staff is smarter or vice versa, add lots of spread out retails spaces with varying degrees of oversight and that's what happens.

It's kind of scummy. Patreon is (supposedly) to sponsor creators, not fund leeches who live on the shoulders of their previous works.

People boosted the fuck out of his patreon all because he cant create content anymore so really they're paying him literally to do nothing. Plus he just started a family any man who would give up that big of a boost to his family's financial stability all because of a fear of being perceived as scummy on the internet is a retard

The guy hasn't done shit for six months, if I was a paying patreon I'd demand a refund for the half year of no content that the guy already took. And considering he lives in Sweden, I doubt he needs any windfall (and if he didn't do any work beforehand, the question is what he exactly done the last half year).

It's just greediness for greediness sake and the internet rewarding slackers. Which by itself is old news, but now Alfa will become THE martyr against GW despite using other people's problems to run away with the cash for being lazy for half a year.

I think since everyone here has been massively anti-TTS, I think it would be nice to put some chips of mine to undermine the entire shitshow.

See, I watched the entire video of the indefinite hiatus announcement and I feel like he was sincere with him leaving the series to rest because of GW and their Zero Tolerance policy. He did not mean to act like a leech and he warned the rest of his viewers to leave him, his patreon and avoid going on an actual autistic crusade, he nearly cried seeing his passion for 40K being assblasted by the corpos for fucks sake. Thing is, that is not Alfabusa's fault, he warned the rest but it is to blame those who cannot handle using their keyboards as a weapon, hence the idiots at Grimdank and 40K subreddits desperately trying to add more funds to his Patreon. If he was going to be a scammer, he'd scorched earth his Patreon at an instant since 10K is probably the highest he'll ever get. The idiots pouring their money at his patreon are doing this at a desperate attempt to continue TTS regardless of his warning.

Onto his patreon, it seems like that he said he would be moving on from the project and use his Patreon to create a brand new series, a spiritual successor to TTS, so he could use the remaining funds as a way to create a new project. Yes I know, it sounds fucking stupid but he did mention that he would be forced to move on, not to mention he now has a family to raise and a new part-time job considering the shitshow that is youtube itself.

I want to give a positive take on this because I'm in the mood. Sometimes I'm way too tired to bother with negativity so its nice to take a break from it, regardless of the outcome. If I am wrong soon, then whatever I tried. Plus, 3D printers are too expensive to bother, so if you cannot afford minis (including paints, emblems and toolkits), goodluck even bothering with custom made models in the middle of bumfuck nowhere.

I was kind of expected it to go down like when team four star said they were cancelling there abridged series, wonder what's exactly different since tbh they seem to be in the exact same situation and have a same type of fan base.

Its either the fanbase or the retards like Toei and GW being complete niggers. People are too scared parodying shit nowdays.

Imagine paying $80 for a predator:

Go get a real tank, like a Leman Russ.

parodying
UK has parody protection laws. It could be worth a shot to fight a suit if it every surfaced. It's possible GW wouldn't have touched them. People are willing to throw stacks at the team for nothing, so why not fund a countersuit? I honestly don't know TTS but I can respect a man who is willing to move on and focus on family and profession and die a hero ect.

Custodes isn't a new faction, though. The Burning of Prospero Box was October 22nd 2016. Not sure if Custodes figurines existed before then?
Custodes were also added at the end of 7th edition in the Talons of the Emperor boxset to 40K (I know since I really wanted to get me the box but since I was a CSM guy I kept putting it off until it went OOP). Burning of Prospero was a 30K, so its true that they existed in the overall range but they didn't have rules to play the in 40K.

So I guess what I wanted to say is that I really wish I got myself that Talons of the Emperor box.
Did get me the Burning of Prospero. Nice box, took the MK 3 armours and used them as Iron Warriors (I suspect the paintjob was a lot worse then my memory wished to recall).

I'd argue it's actually a really expensive hobby.
But your mileage may vary. Not everyone plays 2000+ games, or has basically a spare army (just so you can have WYSIWYG), or collects multiple armies.
Having recently looked around for STLs there's actually a bunch of really nice stuff out there, mostly outside of the 40k style though. But admittedly I was more into the collecting and painting side.

This of course depends on where you live, but:
1) Buy something like an Elegoo Mars 2 for $200
2) Buy 1kg of resin for like $24
3) Print a necron warrior for about $0.08 a pop

(excuse the crappy phone pic)

If that's expensive...then idk why that person is buying 40k in the 1st place.

You must be the life of the party wherever you live.
