How long will WH minis being expensive keep people who sit around collecting funkopops, anime figures and who may or may not own a fursuit out of the fandom?
People who buy funkopops do so for fake-nerd-cred, so they'll never put the effort into assembling and painting more than one or two minis, and they won't get twitter headpats when they post pictures of their burn victim paintjobs.

People who buy anime figurines are weebs so they already have gunpla.

As for the furries... nothing sort of a crusade can stop their infestation.

I think since everyone here has been massively anti-TTS, I think it would be nice to put some chips of mine to undermine the entire shitshow.

See, I watched the entire video of the indefinite hiatus announcement and I feel like he was sincere with him leaving the series to rest because of GW and their Zero Tolerance policy. He did not mean to act like a leech and he warned the rest of his viewers to leave him, his patreon and avoid going on an actual autistic crusade, he nearly cried seeing his passion for 40K being assblasted by the corpos for fucks sake. Thing is, that is not Alfabusa's fault, he warned the rest but it is to blame those who cannot handle using their keyboards as a weapon, hence the idiots at Grimdank and 40K subreddits desperately trying to add more funds to his Patreon. If he was going to be a scammer, he'd scorched earth his Patreon at an instant since 10K is probably the highest he'll ever get. The idiots pouring their money at his patreon are doing this at a desperate attempt to continue TTS regardless of his warning.

Onto his patreon, it seems like that he said he would be moving on from the project and use his Patreon to create a brand new series, a spiritual successor to TTS, so he could use the remaining funds as a way to create a new project. Yes I know, it sounds fucking stupid but he did mention that he would be forced to move on, not to mention he now has a family to raise and a new part-time job considering the shitshow that is youtube itself.

I want to give a positive take on this because I'm in the mood. Sometimes I'm way too tired to bother with negativity so its nice to take a break from it, regardless of the outcome. If I am wrong soon, then whatever I tried. Plus, 3D printers are too expensive to bother, so if you cannot afford minis (including paints, emblems and toolkits), goodluck even bothering with custom made models in the middle of bumfuck nowhere.
I have nothing against Alfabusa and have enjoyed TTS.
Though I'm disappointed that Alfabusa had to put his passion project on hold, it's understandable.
Having watched TeamFourStar get dogged by TOEI until the end of DBZA, I'm kind of glad Alfabusa decided to do this before things got really nasty with GW.
It feels like I entered into this hobby at the tail end of an era.
Real shame, too.

The alternative to being scummy is alfa being a massive faggot. Did he even send an email to GW to ask if he has permission for his series? Because this is the sane response for any artist and at worst GW will just nuke his next video (that as I said, he is working over 6 months on) rather than immediately take him to court. I can't fathom working so hard on something and then throwing it all away without doing any ground work, especially since when he originally started GW was known to be assholes with copyright (before turning better and then worse).

Interesting little lore discussion I came across the other day that centered around how much the modern Imperium remembers/has knowledge of Malcador
I believe there is a tank named after him the guard uses but predates the leman russ and is extremely rare in m.41 and I can't remember anyone who wasn't alive before emps got stuck on the throne mentioning him by name, which is odd since he was fundamental to at least 4-5 different groups.
Also a small discussion on if there was any sigilites left in the galaxy whether they'd be labeled an heretical cult or not (bit dumb since Malcador was the last one but maybe a few of his associates could of taken up the mantle or something)

Malcador betrayed them and helped Empy purge them. Nobody survives a double-team like that. He's the Sigilite because he carries the Emperor's Sigil, and anyone who thinks otherwise disappears faster than a Grot that fell into the Squig pit.

Didn't the Kahn say something about there being a few left and accuse them of doing warcrimes in order to find lost artifacts that would make a techpriest hunting for an STC blush.

I've been a fan of 40k for a long fucking time, but with the death of TTS, I'm just feeling kinda... done. I'll miss the series itself, but that's not the point. GW has done stupid corporate stuff before, but all the 40k friends I have agree that this feels different. This is just open, naked, SEETHING contempt for their fans. GW doesn't want fans. They don't even want customers at this point. They want paypigs. And I'm no longer interested in being a hostage with a wallet.

I mean, I agree with the paypiggy part, but being a hostage with a wallet? Unless you're playing official tournament stuff or with a really uptight group, you could always play with whatever you want.

Only the paypiggies themselves think the 40k setting can be enjoyed by exclusively using official, trademarked, licensed GW plastic pellets.

Most non GW tournaments pay out more and there's no such thing as an official tournament ranking that people give a shit about so going to officially sanctioned tournaments is pointless. The only reason to go to such things is if you want to enter one of the painting tournaments.

Fuuuuck, +$20k a month to release a video every 6 months and comment 'this is so cool' under youtube fan projects.......
If he isn't already basically set for life after a few years of that he's even worse with money than the average 40k player.

Does anyone have TTS ep 30 pt 1 & 2 from the patreon?
They're up on Youtube

Also, I don't think he wants to get into a legal battle with GW since he just had a kid in May.

Printed off a Saint Celestine model I found that looked pretty good. When I went to compare it to the actual model on the GW site, the model is apparently gone from the store. Being rolled into a new box I assume?
Maybe they're redesigning her with GW's recent 'make everything a diorama' philosophy. I think St. Celestine is one of the last, if not the last, major character to get a model that didn't have them standing on a fucking rock or part of a 'scene.'
