Yeah if I ever do play in the distant future, there is a game store in my college town that sells all sorts of stuff from D&D to classic board games.
An old buddy and I go there to rip each other apart with Pokemon cards, but I know they have casual WH40K game nights. The kind of place that doesn't even charge for table space, so we always end up buying something just to help support the business.
They tend to be the most relaxed when it comes to third party stuff. The mileage varies a lot though. Some stores don’t sell much, have any tables, or even walking space. Others have loads in stock.
I've never been barred from a gw for using Vallejo mud and most people in the shop use Vallejo products. I find it strange some random red shirt would do that
When was this? I felt like GW was more prudish in the past about using other paints, mods, etc. My local GW doesn’t care if we talk about other games and only cares if we use official models in official events. Could be that my local red shirt is really relaxed, so I can’t say..
I sure want people who never held a toy soldier in their hands to fight for me in the upcoming Warhammergate.
The people I know who care about it the most hardly play. Like I’ve seen a couple trannies and Arch aficionados but they seem to hardly buy anything in comparison to the die hard hobbyists or competitive gamers.

There tends to be more autism related to the lore communities and those tend to be a bit more polarized.

Had one of highest page ranks because his lore videos.
Stuff like this is why you post your mods elsewhere that allow you to get paid through the site and not on a patreon or paypal like Nexus. You're still supporting the mod authors.

I also mentioned they would be going after modders. It's no different than when the company who owned Vampire the Masquerade game went after modders who wanted to patch the game and re-enable cut content. They can go after you for using their IP in any way to protect their Trademark. Luckily there are a lot of smart companies out there that know modding keeps games alive. Skyrim is turning 10 and has been on two generation of consoles, two iterations of it's engine, a voice operated game, a board game and soon will see a new version on the newest engine. All this because of modding, but to GW it would be seen as a threat as fans are a huge danger to the IP and it's longevity.

Anyone try these before? Snap on dropper tops for citadel pots, they are a little bit pricey but not horrible, but I didn't pull the trigger cause I still have materials for converting about 7 more pots over to droppers.

Whooooooa this will be like the Badab War right epic lore bros?
I wouldn't know, despite Arch doing a series on it I got banned from youtube end of last year in one of the post Trump ban waves, and because Arch is too lazy to upload his videos to Odysee (although seeing as how Odysee will literally sync your youtube channel automatically I suspect he just wants the ad revenue) I haven't watched that series.

So all I know is it had something to do with space taxes and then this one dudes flame thrower exploded in his face.

Yeah at the end of the day the only thing that matter to GW is sales, and there is legitimately no way on earth any sort of boycott would get off the ground. Even if it was revealed that the special ingredient to their minis was the tears of orphaned puppies they'd still sell.

So I'm certainly not going to sign up to twitter just to join a hashtag revolt that will change nothing and end up giving journalism another 5 years of boogiemen to write about, and give us whatever the warhammer equivalent of Ethan Ralph is.

Have fun hunting down Igor in the taiga if you want to get their mods off the internet and sue them for a half empty vodka bottle, GW.
It's not a problem with the mods (as far as I can tell) it's that people are making money off of making mods (why they had to remove patreon links). I think the TWWH comes with mod tools and it even has a steam workshop. So the mods themselves aren't the problem.

Interesting, Most people just transfer over their paints into a dropper bottle, or just buy army painter of vallejo to begin with.
Although admittedly I did buy some citadel paints myself... my OCD required that I use the Deathguard green for my Deathguard...

He is literally sargon of 40k, thats it.

Playing Devil's Advocate, it's not outright nuking the already existing mods and almost certainely related to modders adding new units established in lore and (potentially) profiting off those. It might come down to adding a GW trademark on current and future mods.

It's not just that. If you try to mention Arch ANYWHERE, I mean fucking ANYWHERE, you get Stonetoss levels of "OH GOD DON'T MENTION ARCH HE'S AN EBIL NOTSEE" stupidity from the left, often combined with the "hey did you see the faked Discord screenshots that Sigmarxism was caught making and are claiming is real? Hey look here's some fake Discord screenshots that Sigmarixsm was caught making and are claiming it's real. You should stop talking about Arch and look at these fake Discord screenshots that Sigmarixsm was caught making and are claiming is real." thing that they were doing.

It's very obviously intentional, very obviously performative, and often the same handful of people. I don't know if I'd say it was part of an op or if these are just faggots who are so weak and so used to never hearing ANYONE that disagrees with them that the mere mention of someone they have declared to be an unperson drives them into an autistic frenzy or what. But it's a very real thing.
I wouldn't be surprised if a Sigmarxism mod got caught sexually assaulting someone

Moving away from this crap using eliminator bits on infiltrators/Incursors are pretty good as another have said.

Also I copied Petethewargamers raptor idea where you put pouches everywhere too.

"IF"

90% of the drama over games workshop fucking over fan artists is by grifters and glorified reaction channels. There is no chance.
Minus the grifters and glorified reaction channels people have been bitching over GW fucking over people whether they're players, modelers, fan artists and so on since the early 90ies. Mid 90ies to present day they been bitching about it online.

Edit: should be fixed now.

Not an AoS player but aren’t they like a 400+ point model?
last I checked Kragnos is like 380~, making somewhere like in the top 5 highest costed models in the game. (pretty sure archeon is the top, but for good reason).

He has my half my dominion box in his display case. Though I should change the wording since I dont think I was clear. Obviously you cant actually use none citadel product while hobbying in their shop.(at least for mine). But my local redshirt doesnt give a flying fuck about completed models and encourages people talking about whatever recipes they used for schemes. What effect paints from mig or greenstuffworld. etc etc. I suspect its more so a thing that gw has somewhat vague directions on and just depends on how much of a kike your local redshirt is.

With an alive game, there is the possibility that a modder may make a content meant for future DLC and distribute it for free, thus eating into profits.

Dawn of War 2 had a Krieg mod come out before the Krieg DLC, but since that was the now sorely missed old GW era, nobody gave a fuck. Some DoW1 mods even have models from other games, but the game is dead so no one cares. These are abandonware with GW and Sega still getting a cut if you buy it off Steam.

I think people (non monetised) modding dead games like Gothic Armada or Dawn of War should be fine, as there are zero plans to make DLCs for those.

You can still have a patreon as long as you don't link it. I would link to a Github page which then has links to your other contracts which so happens to have a support development page. It would be hard for GW to bitch about Github without pissing off game devs who may work on their IP at a later date. Which of course could happen since they make it so cheap for game devs to lease the IP.

Arch will be on Nick Rekieta's show tomorrow, 1 hour earlier than normal, to discuss the recent GW bullshittery.
jesus christ, what a buncha fags

anyone saying GW is *now* bad is a faggot tbh, and probably a nomodels secondary.
especially if they think the big problem with GW is- wait for the punchline- how they treat fan content. alfabusa just wanted an easy way out of making his shitty LOUD IS FUNNY cringe fanfiction, the astartes guy (as neat as it was) was clearly in violation of the law, and GW launching that dogshit warhammertv+ thing is a thousand times worse than any C&D on some shitty SFM could ever be

fix the abusive pricing model, the faggot approach to updates and rulebooks, the predatory business practices, and then some swede taking down his cringy videos because... he's afraid of his cringy videos being taken down... might be an issue

What a coincidence, i was thinking about this video today. To be fair old gw was barely an entity. They would drop tons of minies once a year on go radio silent for another year.
