Was Chris' dry-up inevitable?

I think using religion to condemn those he doesn't like while at the same time using it as a shield whenever you want the moral high-ground is pretty hypocritical, or saying that dictatorship is wrong while still dreaming of a society where you're the permanent ruler and there are no elections and no democracy.
Or how you can only "kick" Autistics because he's an Autist but no other group is safe. Or how homos should go die in explosions but "they can do whatever they want behind closed doors" but everyone should aso stay straight.

Granted, most of these examples are from the "good old days", you are one of the few who can verify if he's still like that these days.

I don't know if he's still like that, but still, i am gonna guess that he's still the same arsehole as always, and that the only reason of why he doesn't confirms it by himself is because nobody, both IRL and online, is asking for his opinion.

Chris is a guy who only believes in whatever he thinks suits him. He can quote a single vs from Leviticus without realizing that the same book says that he can't shave the side of his face.

And that's without getting started on things like his name change or why he started his Love Quest in the first place. Never mind when he uses it to give himself ego boost like he did with Thorg.

His opinion on homosexuality was probably brought on by the bullying. When you're a guy in high school, fag is one of the worst things that someone can call you. Chris might have known this on an unconscious level, but we can't be certain. Chris doesn't know why it's bad from what I can tell. It's like his opinion on communism, he thinks it's bad, but doesn't think anything else about it beyond that. Just that it is wrong, no ands, ifs, or buts.

I think this sums up the state of things for the last... Oh... Few years at least. Things were at their strongest between 2008 - 2010, I'd say. That was the period that made him Internet Famous, and I think its safe to say we'll never see that sort of stuff again.

Might see little spurts like the more recent things, but it's never going to be what it was.

Yeah. Like, in Iran, transgenderism is considered a valid "cure" for homosexuality. If you're a man who likes men, well, that's a big no no. But apparently the government promotes sex reassignment surgery, so then you're a female who likes men, and are thus spared the death penalty .

Point of fact, Chris actually alludes to this type of reasoning when he says he would rather "chop his dick off and become a woman" than be a Damn HOMO.

When pushed on his reasoning about this before, he's either referred to his experience of being forced to sit on his male principal's lap, or the Bible.

I was always under the impression that Chris didn't even know the Bible mentioned homosexuality for quite some time. He just hated homosexuals for some reason.

I also don't think Chris views himself as transgender. I get the feeling that Chris thought that the tomgirl thing would attract women. Possibly because in his mind, women=attractive so he should dress like one to be more attractive.

Its the stupidest fucking thing ever. But I think the sort of hypocrisy we're discussing takes a little more intelligence than Chris may have at his disposal.

Well, I'm paraphrasing from what Chris has said directly. The Bible stuff comes from the Church Audio and one of his videos, both of which have him refering to Leviticus. In terms of his him rather chopping off his penis than becoming a homosexual, that's from an e-mail. (Although, later in a calling out video, I think the one directed at ADF, who claims to be a transgender, he mocks the idea of transitioning per se.)

I'm pretty confident it's impossible for Chris to be gay, based on a lot of public information, but also some pretty shocking private information. Chris disliked guys his whole life. I think his hatred of men has been developing his whole life, and is only getting worse. It's impossible for Chris to be gay because Chris is so disgusted by men.

The shocking thing, is how Chris relates his disgust of men to himself. He knows he's a man. And he's disgusted by his own body just as if it was another mans body. And not in a private shame way, he'll actually vocalize it just the same. Chris is fucked up, and needs to see a shrink.

That's actually pretty sad, even by Chris standards. It sounds like he's just trying to become an entirely new person because he really can't stand himself.

But with Chris, they just become extremely angry rants, that make a permanent mark on his character. He's very childish, and really, shouldn't be exposed to society, in this state.

Kind of reminds me of a scene from Genshiken where one of the characters was incapable of responding to a woman without seeing things in terms of an overly simplified dating sim. Only with Chris, every selection is 99.9% likely to bring about a Bad Ending, which will become worse because he thinks that if he rants long and hard enough, people will roll over and apologize. He probably knows that it won't happen, but he still hopes for the impossible.

I've been thinking about this recently; I'll lean towards yes, because as the saying goes, "All good things must come to an end." Phenomena such as Chris tend to come and go, I guess (even though we still discuss him to death). However, I somewhat expected the golden age of trolling to go on a little longer. Bob's death pretty much ended all that.

Honestly, I thought the Golden Age of Trolling ended earlier, like when Jackie issued her ultimatum to Chris sometime around Thanksgiving 2010.

While not a super villain per se, Chris kind of struck me as the kind of guy who if he had the power, he would kidnap women and force them to marry him, only for the Jerkops to foil him every time.
