On the contrary, I think it explains a great deal about people that psychology does not. I have no ill will towards neurology, you're the one arguing on purely psychological grounds.
The idea that a human being is just a mess of crossed wires and fuzzy connections, vaguely connected together with a sense of self that's merely a pretense more or less fits with my understanding of most people's flaws. Psychology is just a bunch of conjecture, constantly correcting itself and not forming a coherent narrative of how a human being actually works at all. Psychology's attempt to puzzle out the human mind in an era where we barely understood what brain cells were and how they interact is admirable, but its era has passed in my opinion. The only reason people still default to it is because neurological medicine hasn't become practical on a large scale yet.
Aren't we drowning on pills on modern times tho?
We are but they're being prescribed haphazardly and their effects and mechanisms of action are still poorly understood. This is psychology acting on its own initiative, and assuming its experts have sufficent knowledge to safely prescribe those medications. Which let's be honest they really don't. In other circumstances, its demand from the patiences for something, anything that can ease their suffering, that drives over perscription.
I don't see much point in entertaining it anymore to be honest, especially in this day and age where it keeps restructuring itself in increasingly more severe ways to try and keep up with the gains that neurological research is making.
I'm just saying Psychology isn't trash as it is because it's finding new things and perfecting itself as time goes on, even if it seams stagnated in the last years, it still covers ground physiology will not touch.

idk, when I was like 4 or 5 I saw a scene of a movie in which some kids were cutting off the buttons of the shirt of another kid with a knife and it messed me up pretty bad for some reason.
Can people be born deviants? is that even possible? I really want to blame something else.
i think scientists are still not sure whether it is nature or nurture that forms a person's personality/mental illnesses but i believe it leans towards nurture
