I'm not willing to jump on the "The KKK defended black people" takes I was seeing on twitter, but the fact he tried to frame black people in the deep south in 1915 and they didn't take the bait just shows how clear it was.

There is no evidence Leo Frank was guilty. Like most crime in the South, it was done by a nigger but because of social tensions against Yankee carpetbaggers, the political elite blamed the Chosenite.
