Wanted to mostly talk about Coyote vs Acme which has had a troubling timeline, but we will see on the big screen soon enough.

I blame Paramount for this!

Don't we already have 2 threads dedicated to this? (Cartoon Industry/Western Animation)

The movie was just shit and Zazlav was taking the necessary premptive measures. Same goes for the all-female Justice League films: Batgirl, Supergirl and JL (WW, Batgirl and Supergirl)

iirc doesn't "WB Shitshow" go back to, like, the 80s?
I'll go with my personal big mad about WB was when they had MAD shill for Harry Potter
like, LOTR got a mention in a random blurb, HP was on the cover the WEEK THE MOVIE CAME OUT
obviously they had the book to work off of but they always waited until general release to see and write it so it was a month or two until it got into the mag

They had issues, specifically with animation, but they didn’t truly fall apart till the entire ethos of the company and their creator driven output was killed in the 2010s. The 2000s was a golden point for them between Harry Potter, LOTR and Batman, all of which saw WB place a massive amount of faith in individual talents. The 2010s was more corporate driven, giving us the awful results of the DCEU, Hobbit films, Fantastic Beasts and other flops.

2010s also saw massive mergers that slowly killed off the company. The AT&T merger stuck a stake through Cartoon Network’s heart for example - They bet on a merger until big Don said no due to CNN talking badly about him, so WB stripped down CN and MeTV to save their asses. Within the 2020s alone we have had two new mergers and a multitude of projects cancelled by Discovery and Paramount. Many were rightfully culled, but I digress, it still looks like shit on WB’s end.

Since it will get lost in the shuffle unless specifically talked about, WB games is a real tragedy.

Rocksteady and WB Montreal are both largely dead thanks to DC projects no one wanted, a real crime when we could have gotten Batman Beyond or Superman.

WB also killed off the fun originals. They no longer have involvement with Lollipop Chainsaw, and Scribblenauts is a dead IP.

Let's be real, the Snyderverse destroyed them completely.
They almost stopped after Justice League and that would prevent them going full bankrupt but then, Aquaman made a billion and they thought that this universe has legs and poured billions into this crap... and all of it flopped.
No, wait, Shazam made a small profit of like $80 million, WHOOPTY-FUCKING-DOO.

I swear, one of these days, I will write a paper on this and win the Nobel Prize in Economics.
