We guess JK Rowling has had another ‘middle-aged moment’, because she’s been caught liking hideously transphobic tweets again

The author upset many childhood fans of Harry Potter in December by tweeting her support for a woman who was fired for anti-transgender views, and in March before that by appearing to like a tweet that referred to trans women as “men in dresses”.

At the time Rowling’s reps officially sought to blame an accidental “middle-aged moment”, stating that she hadn’t meant to like the tweets.

But this week the multimillionaire has been caught liking a message from an activist linked to the anti-transgender LGB Alliance.

JK Rowling liked Twitter message smearing trans woman.

The message repeatedly misgendered and spread false claims about Alex Drummond, a psychotherapist and photographer who has become a point of fixation for transphobic activists online because she has a beard.

The tweet read: “This is Alex Drummond, an adult human male who claims to be a lesbian (yes, he’s kept his dangling bits and skipped the hormones) and believes that real lesbians who aren’t into penises are transphobic and should be excluded from the lesbian community. Yeah, this guy.”

Drummond, who previously said she is in a long-term committed relationship, has made no such claims.

Fans also noted that Rowling’s account liked another message insisting that “humans come in two, and only two, immutable sexes”.

Approached by PinkNews on Monday (May 18), a spokesperson for Rowling declined to comment.

Is she finally waking up and moving away from the cult?
:optimistic:
More like she latched on to the earlier iteration of the cult, which was a mix of old radfem rhetoric and modern corporate woke schtick, and like any traditionalist she looks down on the "hip new" spinoff cult as an upstart and heretical outgroup.

I have mentioned this before but there does seem to be a segment of "respectable" older establishment media goons, especially in bongland, who instead of jumping aboard the new SJW shit back in 2013-2014 decided to revert what they remembered as being the hip and cool and edgy leftist schtick from the 80s and early 90s since that was more familiar and comfortable for them, assuming it would be enough to get the promised asspats and fawnings for woke heroism they desired, and thinking that their own personal stature and status as "beloved writers and authors" would make them beyond reproach from the masses of mindless offense seekers they sought to impress.

As for why they have not meekly rolled over and adjusted their worldviews as they have already done for all the shit they were espousing back in the 90s/00s, Im guessing they are either insulted at the idea of having proverbial proles push them into confessing their sins, or they are betting on troon shit becoming a massive liability in the not too distant future.

Frankly I have zero sympathy either way. Mad troons are always fun, but she was so dang happy to push the more authoritarian "EVERYBODY WHO I SAY OFFENDS ME IS A NAZI WHO NEEDS TO BE SILENCED AND PUNISHED!" wokeshit that seeing it blow up in her face would be even more enjoyable.

Get ready for everyone to have been a huge fan of Dune all along when the movie comes out.
I'm surprised I haven't seen a Dune thread here. That shit is going to crazy once release date approaches, as it is maximally pozzed in the typical hollywood fashion. So many big names attached to something that is destined to be hilariously soyed. It will be a magnificent shitshow.

I've heard Harry Potter fanfics are among the worst when it comes to shipping and the vitriol that comes with it. They'd fit right in with Reylos.
I’d say that Catradora is swiftly taking over the Reylos at this point. Say what you will about Reylos, at least they don’t treat the relationship as anything more that fap material:

They're all pretty shit, and I'm not willing to conduct science to figure out which one is the worst; outside of saying all shippers deserve death. Whatever their real life situation is, people who make "relationships" the core of their identity is shit. Whether it's retards arguing about which fictional retards are together, or the BDSM retards saying what is and isn't abuse, or the poly retards talking about how "communication and respect" are paramount. Relationships are fucking difficult; and the last people I want to hear talk like experts are the female equivalents of incels and Mr. Grey.

How many times are these trannies going to act shocked that JK doesn't want to suck girldick?
It's not about whether she's right, all these weirdos will get her cancelled. They don't work or they work as activists, and even if two thirds are dunder heads, they'll mess up her brand. She probably can forgo the intellectual blowie of being re-tweeted and e-pats on the back, if she wants to keep her brand strong.

She clearly doesn't care because she's rich enough that she doesn't have to.

It's not so much pozzed as it is "high school production of Battlestar Galactica". I saw a few promotional photos that looked like they were taken in someone's garage, badly lit and everyone in horribly generic costumes. I guess after the last few Dune adaptations blew their budget, they're going for 'minimalistic' to keep costs low.
