Skimming through that, if it is supposed to be satire, it should at least be funny. It's not.

It's what happens when you're insulated from challenge and adversity. Doing hard shit or weathering hardship builds self esteem, self image, confidence, a sense of agency -- a whole array of things that are necessary to be happy and fulfilled. Many people are coddled are deprived of that, often while being raised to believe that happiness is the default state of being that's only impeded by extrinsically-imposed suffering, rather than the result of suffering, so they have a hell of a time trying to figure out why they're unhappy and spend all their time looking outside themselves and saying "This must be the thing making me unhappy," instead of turning inward and realizing they don't have much to be happy about to begin with.
