I’m glad it got reuploaded. I’m guessing he decided to wait until the Lythero video came out before posting the bit separately.
 
I've been on an old Mario sprite flash animation binge as of late. A notable example is Rise of the Mushroom Kingdom by Randy Solem. It's top tier for good reason.


There's just something so very charming about how rough and unpolished they tend to look right down to the way the blood is drawn. It's something you don't really get with sprite animations nowadays because they're usually geared towards kids. I really miss the days when you could have Mario call someone a faggot in his funny voice and not lose everything...

This guy makes a lot of these "What If?'s and parodies. Thought some might be traced, but I know nothing about animation, so it is what it is. Actually pretty well done. Even the premise is something that could've been possible.

And this one nearly made me piss my pants

Short-form horror with rarely any sound, done in the style of old Flash animations of the early 2000s (& resolution).



I like this one titled Sins of the Flesh, because the audio it does have is sampled from a track off of the Silent Hill 2 soundtrack (Track #19 - Silent Heaven).

Dude this legit looks like it crawled out of mid-2000s Newgrounds/Youtube, and the fact that it isn't but just someone who has a knack for this style is crazy! Really hope this person continues with this project and see how far it'll go.

Edit: I kinda hope they'll release HD versions of their videos someday. I get this is done purely as an artistic and stylish choice to make it look older than it is, but I still wanna see good art like this in as best quality as it could be.

Saw this linked to, a short film made with the MikuMikuDance freeware program, that as far as I saw was only ever used to make goofy meme videos.

This is a bit more...elaborate than I would expect for something made with MMD.
