Homestuck is mostly about the adventures of gay demon aliens with no arms. Oh, and there's some equally gay armless humans in there somewhere.
I concur with the Tails Gets Trolled appreciation. I can't get enough of it, personally.

Gastrophobia is one of my favs. Unfortunately, the artist is busy with other projects so it updates infrequently.

Oh, and I highly recommend "Sexy Losers." The funniest, most NSFW comic out there.

I rather like El Goonish Shive, but it's been a while since I've read it. xkcd is also good.

Homestuck is the world's most confusing webcomic and nobody has any goddamn idea what is happening in it.
But I like the characters they're all really likable

Here's what I'm following.

Misfile - I've been reading this one for about 3 years. It has a fairly decent story, but progresses at a snail's pace despite being updated every weekday. I've become kinda bored with it, but still follow it because...I've followed it for so long.

Evil Inc. - This comic...yeah. It starts out okay, gets better, but peaked like a dozen arcs ago. I think the moment it really jumped the shark for me was when the introduced Oliver and now, because of parallel universe bullshit, everyone acts like he was always there. I'm just wondering how his presence altered the events I've already watched.

Wizard School - I was sold on the premise. Harry Potter-knockoff being killed and his status as "the chosen one" being forcibly bestowed on the most ill-suited prick ever. The arcs are initially good but rely too heavily on aping Harry Potter. It just keeps going "Haha, imagine if HP was like this." That and almost everyone is way too dumb to function. Needs to be grounded in reality more.

Full Frontal Nerdity - I kinda like the gaming group and would like to be a member of a similar one.

Manly Guys Doing Manly Things - Really wish this was updateded more than once a week. A great examination of the macho-BS that the late 80's/early 90's installed in me.

Ensign Sue Must Die - Like a crossover fanfic in a webcomic, only good.

Cyanide and Happiness - I get a chuckle here and there. Really like the animated episodes.

No one has mentioned Whomp?

Why not?

There aren't really any I follow at the moment, but I used to rather enjoy...
Achewood - Really funny, really unique writing style. It's kinda disappeared up its own ass in recent years and I stopped following it when the author drastically slowed down on updates.
The Non-Adventures of Wonderella - Started out as a spoof of Wonder Woman and superhero comics in general, now it's become a general lampoon of sci-fi and fantasy, generally hilarious.
Hark! A Vagrant! - Stupid jokes about history and literature, right up my street.
Scary-Go-Round - Sadly defunct, replaced with a not-as-good webcomic in the same universe called Bad Machinery. Again, really great until it got into a rut.
Oglaf - I normally avoid NSFW webcomics, because frankly the sex is usually just there to give the author something to fap over while the story and humour take a distant second place, but Oglaf is actually funny and has an interesting fantasy setting.
Overcompensating - Sometimes got a bit over-political, but this was usually good for an absurdist chuckle. Basically, an autobiographical webcomic that made no pretense of realism.
Questionable Content - Apparently it's got a bit soapy since I stopped reading it. I forget what I enjoyed about it, but I guess I must have liked it for some reason.

I recently got into this one called Enemy Agency, it's hilarious and I love it. Is like if a D&D dungeon was a buisiness. Also, the main two protagonists are quite hilarious together there's Barry the Beholder, the naive and overly enthusiastic protagonist who's the new guy, Rusty the Rust Monster who contrasts Barry by being that jaded old guard who has been in the company forever without much mobility, and then there is just a very overall quirky cast in general.

I couldn't stop laughing at the entire S.A.F.E.T.Y. arc, it kind of points out how in RPGs and stuff, especially when you're running around factories with a bunch of traps and other things that didn't kill you, stuff like workplace safety laws or OSHA or whatever don't apply, it kind of deconstructs that whole concept which I think is quite clever and makes it funny because here you have all of these warnings, but that about the adventurer's? Wouldn't safety warnings render them useless? Everything about it is a silly concept, but that's excpected of Barry, which, I can't get over his cute little tie...

Point is, like D&D? like workplace humor? Please, check it out, I adore it more than Order of the Stick (which I tend to like it better when I wait and read several pages at once so I don't have to constantly looking back on what happened previously all the time) or Looking for Group (which is the same story, plus, it tends to be more MMO-humor oriented)

There's a lot of webcomics I'd love to read if I had the time truthfully.

If you want something to cringe/laugh at, check out School Bites. It's made by someone who's supposed to be a professional, but really it's just a self-insert comic about vampires and ripping off of Harry Potter without understanding what made Harry Potter what it is in the first place. There's also a ton of attention whoring from the creator (not just in the form of her self-insert), and after a while it gets to the point that you're sloughing through the story -- or what little there is -- because every other page is either featuring fanart or stuff about herself. Her style changes constantly (it's mostly in this chibi animu style -- a lot of the characters are at least college-aged, by the way), often multiple times on the same page and at times you can see that she's really capable of better... although when she does show it, it's jarring because she has them alongside the animu shit. This isn't even getting into the copy/pasting with the background when she's perfectly capable of drawing them. Everything about it just looks so... lazy, and I personally expect better from a "professional."

A personal gripe is that it's really hard to take it seriously when these 18+ year olds look like they're 12. It also looks very creepy due to this.

They also eat sweets because... um... I don't know how it staves off their hunger, really. There's no reason given behind it. Why she didn't have them use supplements like blood packs, I have no clue.

I'll close this mini-rant with three words: Japanese. Catgirl. Vampire.

I think its been mentioned but Oglaf is the only webcomic that is always awesome.

Well, Wizard School ended, a bit anticlimactically as well. Way too much build up for such a mundane finale.

Which kinda goes with the theme of the series.

14 Nights: It's a very unique take on the man-love genre. It's about two average-looking guys and one of them has major sexual anxiety (and a possible low sex-drive). So it's about the two finding away around it, but the ending is not what you'd expect. My one complaint is the are unnecessary pages and there are two dream sequences that could've been taken out without hurting the plot.

Oglaf: One thing I like about it is you have a variety of body types, chest-sizes, sexualities, races and the woman actually look like they're actually enjoying themselves.

Super Mario Bros 2: The Comic:
It's the script for what would be the sequel to the live-action movie (which I have some affection for). It's actually rather neat to see what their takes on the piranha plants, Wart and Mouser would be like. And the shy guys look awesome.

Snowflame:
Linkara fans will remember when he gave this villain props and inspired someone to make a comic about him. The author does a good job giving Snowflame a past and fleshing him out more as a character.

I actually kinda liked the series when I first read it (probably because I started to read it well into its run back in 2009). But now that I'm looking at it, there's a lot of flaws about the series that is turning me off now. The plotting is one issue, but the art's become much more sloppy than it was. Combined with the that that the creator feels like he needed to insert an unneeded, and boring, subplot about an angel war made me question why I liked the comic. Even the thing that drew me to the comic in the first place (the cars) has started to lose my interest in the series.

All good things must come to an end, as one of my favourite webcomics Brawl In The Family is ending soon.
I dont fucking believe this. This was one of my all time favorite webcomics.

I've seen most of the ones I regularly follow already listed- Oglaf, QC, Sam & Fuzzy, Dr.McNinja, XKCD, Etc.- so I'll just top off the list:

Schlock Mercenary. One of my favorites, a funny as hell space opera that's been running longer than I've owned a PC- http://www.schlockmercenary.com/

The Whiteboard. A Furry webcomic about paintball based in Alaska, also the author/artist is a hell of a machinist- http://www.the-whiteboard.com/

Modest Medusa. It's cute weird blend of real life & fantasy- http://www.modestmedusa.com/
