So for any Dragon Ball video games released by Bandai Namco featuring Broly in the future, Broly would still be voiced by Vic?
Not exactly. All the English voice recording for the Dragon Ball video games are done by Okratron 5000.

To be fair, during the tortoise interference with Kamehacon stream (I think) Nick heard through the grapevine that the con owner was just so... tired with everything he was considering not doing it again the next year.If this really ends up being the last Kamehacon, I hope that every fan knows whos fault it is. Those snakes couldn't just suck it up and go to the con, they had to attract the wrath of angry Japanese business men wielding swords made of glorious Nippon steel folded over 1 thousand times.

funny thing about that. it occured to me why sabat had clout. he was likely being protected by gen. since he's out though.....Fuck if I know.
I mean, it logically follows that because Funimation wouldn't be in charge of vidya, Vic could return as Broly. The "no more casting Vic" rule doesn't apply outside of Funi and RT.
I"m betting they wouldn't record lines for said video game at Sabat's studio though. Especially if Nick is right, and Toei is tired of Sabat's shit.

I go with this theory more, I think. He's a conservative (I presume Christian) who's buddy buddy with Rick Santorum. Even if he didn't personally know Vic I'm sure he knew him by reputationI actually hypothesize something different: Vic was being protected by Gen, and the shitheals pounced because he's out. The timing is interesting.
But I suppose these two theories are not mutually exclusive.
Gen could sorta be like Funimation's equivalent of Josip Broz Tito. Once he died, Yugoslavia tore itself apart.

I don't know, maybe because he's a nice guy, and as long as no one was getting hurt with these dumb stories, he was going to let it go? Or maybe human kindness is just that strange a concept to you.View attachment 722447

There he goes again running his mouth
I think it's more they don't want Ryo at an unaffiliated event calling itself a Dragonball convention, with artists selling unlicensed merch, the tour that was banking off of their name, and so on. Since they waited so long to pull him, I'm guessing the current drama has them angry enough that they're done dealing with any shit.Theory 3 is looking more and more real
You think they don't want Ryo hanging out with Sabat and them anymore because they might be thinking about pulling the license?
Oh boy I hope so, that would be AMAZING
Is it likely Gen is directly involved in talking to Toei about what's happening? I'd imagine he's pretty furious right now, don't they have that license because of him?I actually hypothesize something different: Vic was being protected by Gen, and the shitheals pounced because he's out. Nope. I ain't here because I'm a weeb. I'm here for the sweet ownage and drama.Anyone else really bothered at the prospect of there being massive collateral damage in this fiasco?
Theory 3 is the Nips have finally caught on and are going scorched earth with their IP.I go away for 48 hours and it is like everyone is talking in Swahili. Theory 3? Huh? sigh

The more he runs his mouth, the more we'll revel in him getting BTFO come Monday.I'm now firmly convinced Shane is delusional and doesn't believe a lawsuit will happen.
There's no other reason for him to keep saying this shit. If he knew one was coming, he wouldn't be saying this. What he's saying now... by itself... is setting himself up for a crushing defeat. That's even if Vic doesn't ultimately win.
I really, really hope he gets deposed. I really do. I hope he's not named in a suit because that would give him some twisted sense of self worth and he doesn't deserve even that. I just want to see how he reacts to getting yelled at by an angry blonde lady for a few hours (or an angry glasses girl or an angry black lady, depending on which ALOD).I'm now firmly convinced Shane is delusional and doesn't believe a lawsuit will happen.
