He definitely has severe psychological issues. I think most of what you're seeing comes down to his issues with role-playing and his sense of identity. Jace's concept of "real" vs. "fantasy" worlds is really fucking weird and blurry.

First, Jace has shown an incredible amount of empathy for the fictional characters or beings that inhabit his fantasy world. John Cena, Soap, Jack Stryker, etc exhibit amazing amounts of emotional response from him, to the point where he feels their emotions as if they are his own or as if they were real people

Another thing to consider is that he willingly submersed himself in these traumatic childhood memories as a form of psychiatric role-play, something which he overtly announced at the beginning of the stream. He's confronting his fears in a very safe environment so it's easy for him to distance himself from the negative consequences and walk away from them; this is why he can "turn them off" so to speak more easily than if it was happening in real-time. Take Dicksquad's assault on him earlier in the stream for example. That soured his mood for a good long time because he wasn't able to actually "turn it off", he wasn't in control of it, it still lingered and bothered him. In contrast, he can just stop playing The Sims and go to bed anytime he wants and he knows that.

He also experiences unpredictable mood swings an awful lot and he can go from 0 to 60 and back with little notice if you press the right buttons, as we've seen countless times before.

Not to say this explains his behavior 100% but my point is that there are a lot of underlying psychological factors at play here that we really don't know very much about. We only see what he allows us to see, after all. There's a lot about Jace that is still pretty unclear.

That's not to mention the faces of Colby, Tyce and Eli, we also know the make and model of Jace's car (red Toyota Prius according to his DarkRP server) and where he lives... etc etc etc. I would chalk up his "caution" to Robert, honestly. I think in the earlier months and years he made a LOT of simple mistakes in disguising his identity but recently he's become way more cautious, and I think it's because of Robert. Robert seems to be a fucking wizard in terms of keeping himself out of the saga, and I think he probably passed it on to Jace or at least tutored him in basic tactics to prevent doxing himself further - a good example is not giving out "Pastor Faggot"'s name or cell #. Rob even went through the trouble of setting up some crazy homebrew VPN connection for Jace at one point so that trolls couldn't geolocate his IP - as we've seen that didn't exactly work because Gamerfood doxed him anyway, but you get what I mean.

How so? The most I've really seen him do is say "fuck you trolls I'm not going to give you what you want! Get a life nerds!" and cut the stream which isn't really tricky as much as it is the first lesson in Internet Culture 101: "don't feed the trolls" Granted it's taken him two and a half years to learn it, but still.

Oh there is no denying that he is indeed a truly screwed up individual with no shortage of neuroses and impediments like his insane mother. But I still wonder just how in control of his actions he is.

Well that's kind of what I mean. Live Stream 9, when he thanked everyone, said he had fun, and was going to leave the Intermission music playing so everyone could enjoy it after trolls DDOS'd his server. That he came back in 10-20 minutes later and continued playing for another hour. It's really simple, and it's just ignoring the weens mostly, but I think that's kind of cunning. Most lolcows wouldn't do that (even if it took them 2 years to learn).

Based on his online history I don't think he's a COMPLETE troll, but the last few months make me think he's hyping up for the crowd. He also takes some very crucial safety steps that true lolcows like Chris never think of: we never (really) see his un-sunglassed face online, nor Gail's or Robert's face. I highly doubt that the same man who runs around screaming "PRESS ONEEEEEEEEEE!!!" would have the foresight needed to keep the identities of the people he really dislikes (or his own) as secret as he does.

I've thought of this before as well, with Chris as well as Jace. What if this is all an act? An elaborate social experiment? What if about a year from now a video is posted of either of them- looking good in an Italian suit- standing by their corvette & trophy blond girlfriend, and the camera pans over the set that was their "house" as people take down the sound gear...and then back to them.

We've actually seen him without his glasses once at the end of Livestream 7 (http://wiki.teamgamerfood.com/mediawiki/images/0/0b/Noshades.png) also he's had a Pizza sent to his house without his knowing it during a Livestream (http://wiki.teamgamerfood.com/mediawiki/index.php?title=Jace's_Failed_Enlistment) and there's a lot of other evidence (http://wiki.teamgamerfood.com/mediawiki/index.php?title=Theories).

Basicially, he could be trolling but if he is he's set up a massively elaborate conspiracy just to get people on the internet to believe he's a manchild. His reactions could be overly dramatic but I suspect (presuming his whole 'Future Marine' shtick is real) that if they are it would be to try to make himself look tougher and more masculine (as in when he gestures with his deagle and shoots it at the camera) rather than more emotional/insecure (his tearing up when things go bad for him in the Sims, the entire last five minutes of the livestream, e.t.c).

That being said, his use of 'Pastor Faggot' rather than a real name does indicate he is at least partially aware that people around him might not be happy if they got doxed.
 
I had to leave the stream about 30 mins in because I needed sleep.
I think, "Oh wow, Jace might actually be calm with the stream since he's off alcohol and weed"
Then I read about his decent into madness and the "PRESS 1" incident.

How much of Jace's portrayal of his childhood is hyperbole and how much is fact based?
How much alcohol did Jace actually swallow? Note that we don't see many bubbles when Jace is "swigging" from the Tequila bottle.
Why does Gail keep booze in the house? Why is she such a fucking idiot?
Keep the psychoanalytical shit coming guize, this is gold. I've been travelling in Europe for 3 weeks and this is absolutely amazing to come back to.

-Someone should ask if the pastor faggots are the same, because that doesn't sound like a question he'd refuse to answer.
-I think his childhood is kind of accurate in that his mom is a fundie that had him in christian homeschooling and probably had very tight control over what toys he could have, shows he could watch, etc. But I still have no idea wtf his dad had to do with him. He always seemed to rage at his dad and his dad did nothing.
-Jace didn't seem to be that visibly drunk. Especially if you consider that he has (supposedly) been sober this whole time and would have a very low tolerance as a result.
-Maybe she keeps alcohol around to put up with Jace? Maybe she trusted him when he was "born again"? I don't know. None of it makes any logical sense, but some people really are just that stupid.
