UN WEF Speaker Claims Coffee is Environmentally Destructive - today in clown world banning coffee is good

During a panel discussion at the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland last week, Swiss banker Hubert Keller said coffee production is bad for the environment and is exacerbating climate change.

“The coffee that we all drink emits between 15 and 20 tons of CO2 per ton of coffee,” he said. “Every time we drink coffee, we are putting CO2 into the atmosphere.”

This assessment came after another WEF speaker described fishing and farming as environmentally destructive activities. The same speaker advocated for destructive activities to be recognized as “ecocide” under new international laws that would punish crimes against nature in the same way genocide is prosecuted. The WEF has also advocated for plant-based diets, the widespread use of electric vehicles, and the introduction of “tiny homes” to replace traditional dwellings.

Keller went on: “And one of the reasons is because most of the coffee plantation or most of the coffee is produced through monoculture and monoculture is also affected by climate change… The quality of these natural assets is deteriorating quite rapidly.”

Keller is a managing partner of global wealth management firm Lombard Odier Darier Hentsch, a bank deeply committed to Environmental, Social, and corporate Governenace (ESG) philosophy. But he is not the first person at the WEF to attribute climate change to coffee.

In 2016, the WEF put out a blog post about the deleterious environmental effects of coffee cups, single-serve coffee pods, and other things related to coffee consumption. “Is your coffee addiction destroying the planet?” the WEF asked.

Feudalism was an agreement between strong men who could provide protection and the laborers they needed to work the land so the strong man could support the soldiers protecting them

There's no mutual benefit in the WEF plan there's just a wholly dependent lumpenproletariat and a ruling class gradually replacing their labor with robots
This. Under feudalism you worked for your Lord but he also protected you and your family. No such protection here.

I hate Keurigs
The K-cup is emblematic of modern consumerism and all of its ills. We've taken something that worked perfectly fine and found a way to make it worse while including even more disposable plastic and Chinese-manufactured electronic bullshit you have to pay for all so that we can put convenience on a pedestal.
I hate Keurigs with a passion. There is nothing better than a plain and simple Mr Coffee maker. It usually costs between $20-40 lasts practically forever and is an example of cheap manufacturing that lasts.
Fucking THIS! My Fiance bought one of these stupid fucking Keurigs and convinced me to toss my ol' faithful coffee maker out and it is an all around worse experience. With my coffee pot I'd only have to wait around 4 minutes but I'd have multiple cups of coffee ready to pour. These stupid fucking keurigs make you only wait a minute and a half but you get only a single cup out of it. So it's left us waiting and taking turns to get our drinks and I just hate the fucking thing so much... Also k-cups don't last anywhere near as long as a container of coffee grounds.

Also fuck the WEF.
I'm convinced that the coffee snobs out there who buy Kurigs do so because they want you to feel fancy. Personally the best cup of coffee is Columbian or cafe du monde served black with sugar in a plain ceramic mug. Fuck percolated coffee once you have the old fashioned Mr coffee way you realize that it's truly the best way.

Just buy shade grown coffee if you care.

That's not wholly true, it really depends on how it's being done, what you're growing or fishing for etc. Fishing for invasives like Asian carp is actually beneficial to the environment and there are even dog food brands now making "ecofriendly" dog food from it.
That's a pretty generous menu you're imagining will come from our WEF masters in the not-so-distant future! I was imagining more along the lines of this.
They posted what they actually eat at WEF meetings, not what we will eat.

People who harp on about "OMG FISHING IS KILLING THE OCEAN!!!1!" are doing the same shit as when they claim western powers are responsible for pollution. If they were serious about protecting the ocean they'd fight against asians like chinese and phillipinos and their horrific fishing practices.

WEF: Ban tea.
People: *switch to meth*
its going to be harder to ban tea since sinesis the tea bush has hardiness zone 7-9 which is pretty good in certain parts in usa and europe plus they will slowly develop more winter hardy good tasting shrubs also is very easy to improve varieties when harvest time is two years after planting

There are also species like Kentacky coffee tree for more northern latitutes that is hardy to zone 3-8 very hardy tree that tolerates aslo polution and his seeds needs to be roasted before brewed .

And there is holy yupon similar to tea bush .

There is endless options you can switch to good luck banning people to trade tea and coffee .

The CO2 hit from coffee is the off-gassing that happens for 72-ish hours after roasting. That's why there's that little valve on bags of roasted beans (and sometimes pre-ground, but grinding really shouldn't happen until you get past that, the CO2 takes other, nasty tasting stuff with it and grinding can screw with that process).

A lot of carbon dioxide seeps out of the beans.

Good luck banning people from eating meat also. People grew pigs in basements in WW2.

Caffeine can cause anxiety, it's a good idea to take breaks from it now and then.

Or to horde it just to say FU to the WEF cabal.

thats not a bad thing. the earth needs CO2 almost like fuel of sorts for its ecological processes. thats why there's so much of it.

these people are acting like theyve never heard of trees and algae. and then have the BALLS to tell me to "trust the science"

lol, you first, nigger

Every time a human being breathes we are releasing carbon dioxide into the environment. How is the WEF going to combat the polluting influence of the respiratory system?

Nothing to do with health effects, it is a demoralization tactic.

Everything good must be destroyed, corrupted, or kept out of the hands of the plebs, and they will stop at nothing until they have victory and all hope is lost, with humanity effectively enslaved.
