Weight loss support thread

This is exceptional. Learn how to eat right.

Weight loss isn't the main focus of fasting, it has pretty amazing physiological benefits (detox, helping with immune system related illnesses).
I've been on a diet of veggies/fruit and lean protein (chicken/beef/fish) for quite a while, my last 5 day fast had pretty amazing results.

Where are the peer reviewed studies done on water "detoxes". If you want to detox, whatever the fuck that means, do something less dumb like wheat grass shots or green juices. At least you are getting lots of leafy greens, but still eat. Hell even just going completely vegan or veggie for a month can be good.

Try bringing it up with your doctor on your next visit. And use the pedal machine routinely as long as your rib pain is gone, but don't overdo it.
I am now taking naproxen to help alleviate any pain that comes and I think my about 10 years old mattress might've had some things to do with the pain. I'm now able to walk in place at work and pedal (though I stop when it starts to hurt). Thanks a lot for the advice.

Has somebody tried water fasting over extended periods of time? (2-4 weeks)
I'm starting a fast on monday and will aim for 4 weeks (obviously stop if there are signs that tell me to).
I've tried it before but only for 5 days and the results were pretty amazing both in weight loss and when it comes to detox (as someone with a immune deficiency I've noticed that some of the symptoms were regressing).
Dumb idea
Your body requires things like potassium to sustain homeostasis. Just eat a plant based diet, high protein, avoid sugar & do HIIT workouts.

I've been trying to gain weight because of relatively low body fat for like forever, eating like crazy fatty foods and still losing a pound every 2 months. How do you faggots do it?

Step one: Eat whole pizza

My nigga have you been drinking 2 forties and ordering 2 extra large bacon pizzas every Saturday? If not you should that's how I got fat. You get the pizza, you eat the pizza with your beer, you get drunk and stay up until 3 am; you're gonna get hungry eat 4 more slices of pizza, wake up eat more leftover pizza. You can get 2 more forties stay drunk through the night.

Alternatively have a cook out make a bunch of meats and make a large pan of baked mac and cheese eat that with your forties.

It's all about drinking your calories.

I recently started a thread on the LOLCOW forum about the Fat acceptance movement and it came to my attention that quite a few people on the forum are struggling to loose weight and maintain that.

I'll start. At the gym today I got weighed and found out I had lost seven pounds this month.
I'm at 59 kg and I have to be careful not to be underweight...

Here's some advice from my fatshaming shitlord doctor. I especially like that last line.

Went to the doctor’s this week, and the first time I had my weight checked since I stopped dieting a year ago. My eating had gone out of control since then, so Imagine my surprise when I found I hadn’t gained a single pound since then! Turns out my intake of burgers, craft beer, and Belgian Waffles was countered by my walks to work. Proof that you can eat like crap and maintain yourself with even the littlest amount of effort. But don’t worry , I’m looking out for how much I eat now

I thought this too but then I turned 30

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that your raging alcoholism is probably the cause of your physical ailments and not some magic age number

Na bang on the money, you do gradually get a bit less active and your metabolism slows down as you get older. Just can't get away with the same crap you used to pull when you were younger.
