Weight loss support thread

ayy got trom 60kg to 45kg in 5 Months or something just by dieting bc i got no money to go to the gym. I regret it now cuz even tho im almost underweight im not toned at all lol im gonna have to get some muscle gainzz. Remember to exercise, kids.

I'm trying a low carb diet. I'm on day 4 with one cheat. At work it was cookie day so we got free cookies. So maybe 3 days in officially? I would do low calorie but I think the only way I could actually lose weight beyond just water weight is to keep it at 1000 calories which is just not doable for me.

Do any fast food places wrap burgers in lettuce? Today I had two chicken sandwiches, no breading, I did eat the buns, then apples and a banana (only later did I realize that banana's have a shockingly large amount of carbs :( ), then capped the night off with two spinach wraps from Subway without any condiments.

I hate to make this a personal blog, but I don't really have anywhere else to gush about it. A while back, I mentioned I was trying to lose weight and get back in shape. Well, part one is done- I'm at my target weight now. Over the course of four months I've shed 20 pounds. I've started going to the gym a bit, and it's actually helped my sleep schedule and my mood quite a bit. Don't know how I functioned without this.

Most Fast Food places have a "no-bun" option, some of them use lettuce as a replacement. Just ask them and they'll unhappily but begudringly accomodate you.

Or you could just make your own food and not eat shitty fast food burgers at all. That's likely to drop at least 10 pounds there.

I don't eat fast food that often. It's like a once a week activity.

Felt like posting my own update. Less than 7 months ago I was 367 pounds. I'm now down to 270, and on course to hit 267 before new year's. After that, it's only 67 pounds to "ideal" weight.

I've gone from a 5XL shirt to a 2XL, and could probably fit in an XL. I've lost a foot off my waistline alone. I've been drilling holes in my belt to keep up.

I've a relative I consider to be my most adamant supporter. When she heard I planned on losing 167 pounds she responded with "well, you shoot for the stars, at least you'll get to the moon." Bitch I'll be on a distant star waving at your rocky lunar ass. I'm lighter than her now.

show her how smaller your ass is than hers by showing her the moon

I've wanted to loose weight for so long but it never was more than a passing wish. Then last month i just completely flipped a switch where I decided this is it. I completely stopped eating out, drastically cut back on sugar and I've lost 15lbs. Now I only have 55 left till ideal weight. It feels good.

can you lose 40lbs in 2 months?
Yes, however.

You must always keep in mind, the first pounds you shed will be water weight, and unless you keep with a new diet/meal plan, you'll go right back.

I have a question, what are your feelings on diet pills? Do they work?
How do you feel about caffeine and vitamins you don't quite understand? A good bit of diet pills is the placebo effect. Your metabolism might marginally increase, but the rest is a caffeine high. Better to try without, then use them to enhance your weight loss, if at all. I understand the draw, but I also realize they're about as useful as waving a magical wand and making your weight disappear.

Diet pills probably aren't going to help you change your way of eating or with any of the psychological aspects of changing your life and transforming your body. You'll drop some pounds with speed or diuretics, but will you keep it off once you stop the pills?

So I've been doing a low cal 1000-1200 for about a month. Sometimes I only eat 800-900. I switched my diet up and the thing is, I'm just not that hungry anymore. I'll eat 900 and feel fine. I take a fuck load of vitamins too, which probably helps. I've been focusing on complex carbs and higher protein.

If you choose your 1K-ish calories wisely, it's surprising how sustaining that can be. You might run into a problem several months down the road, that being that it's goddam hard to break through a plateau from 1K-1200 calories a day. When I hit that point myself, I edged up closer to my RDI of 1600 calories and 1-2 days a week of intermittent fasting. Just one possibility; seems to work for me.

Alderall helps LOL.
Yeah, I miss adderall. I had a doc who put me on it for a couple of years for an off label reason (chronic fatigue) but she decided that she only wanted to do concierge medicine (and I'm too poor for that) and my new doc wouldn't do it. He's put me on meds that have fatigue as a side effect to try to fix my fatigue which shocker does not work. With the adderall, I lost a lot of weight and could even do 10Ks when I was on it.

Still, I can lose weight without it. It just takes more effort on my part since I don't have the energy for working out anymore. Mostly I lose weight through cutting calories. On good days, I do walking to burn more calories. It's slow, but it works.
