Weird Dreams Thread

We're driving down this hill, a car driving up hits us. Driver gets up, all I could think is to duck. Normally, you'd exchange information but this is Jersey so you'd keep going... I literally woke up scared as shit.
The standard bump your car and then jack you when you get out. Never ever stop your car in Camden, not even at a stop sign.

My latest weird dream was a slightly different take on the usual back to school dreams I've had.

Although I'm back in high school, I still have my adult memories as I stopped to tease an old HS friend about stuff that wouldn't happen until we were adults. As I leave her to walk to my next class, I overhear her telling one of her other friends that she's planning to have have a skinny-dipping party. That struck me odd because her family never had a pool, but weird dreams tend to contradict known facts, as I'd discover when the dream reached the next scene.

When I reached what should be my classroom and I opened the door, I discovered a large auditorium and a drama class instead of my class. I'm taken aback because it's physically and logistically impossible for the auditorium entrance to be at this spot in the building.

After I exchanged "WTF?" looks with the drama class gathered inside, I ask where my class and classroom is. Nobody seems to know and they simply shrug me off, leaving me to try to figure out where my classroom is since it's clearly not where it should be. The drama class seemed a bit peeved at me for cutting across the auditorium to exit through the door on the opposite side of the one I used to enter, but I didn't care at that point.

I had a dream where I went back in time in the area I live a few decades, I thought it had something to do with solving a murder originally...it started off strange before that disappeared and it started taking shape into a kind of fun, goofy experience.

What really gets to me is how accurate the setting was. Like there were things in the dream my own mind backdated to fit the time period and did it correctly. Even little things like clothing and tech were right for the time period (early-mid 80's). For example certain buildings weren't there yet or older ones were in their place that had been torn down... but they were all the right ones in the right places.

I must have seen some of this stuff in a book about the area and folded it into the dream because it was way too correct to come up with on my own. I can't remember the last time I watched anything set in this time period either. Just strange.

Some people have precognitive dreams, where they see the future. However, there is also a lesser-known phenomenon, retrocognition, which works in the opposite manner. Precognition is linked to other phenomena as well, such as telepathy and telekinesis; likewise, retrocognition seems to be linked to other phenomena such as empathy, ability to communicate with the dead, and also telekinesis. Retrocognition isn't studied as such very often; people tend to make the same assumption you did, that's it's just subconscious resurfacing of forgotten knowledge, or go whole hog in the other direction and think that it is evidence of reincarnation.

Makes me wonder now because it has happened twice with two different time periods in the 20th century. once in the late 1920s and this one in the early 1980s.There was nothing weird in them either, I was just a normal person and nobody important in both cases and it didn't even feel like I was in the wrong time or place during the dream.

I think that's why they stuck with me, there were weird pieces at the beginning like any dream but it's like something connected properly after that and they became normal.

One of the few times I got genuine goosebumps from something weird in my life was when I compared that picture of the place in the 80s to what it looked like in the dream. It was definitely accurate but my view in the dream was from a completely different angle.

In either dream, were you trying to do something but it was left unfinished?

Actually, yes, there was one piece I remembered after I thought about it some more. I had my current day stuff with me, so one of the things I did after getting my bearings was take a photo on my phone of the skyline because it was so strange to see. The 1920s one I have to think about as the most memorable part involves being in a Model A.

When I got back to the current time, one of my goals was to find these people I knew from then and show them the photo to prove I was there but it started to fall apart/go strange again and I woke up immediately after that.

This is a nightmare I had 2 years ago, but before that, I was watching someone on YouTube by the name of The Right Opinion, fell asleep watching, then I "woke up", looked at the video and it changed from his to some random Japanese video. I decided to get out of bed, someone offered to clean my room, I refused and told them that I'll do it myself, and I accidentally broke my laptop, then all of the sudden I could barely speak, so I rushed to find help, saw someone, but before I was able to let them know, I couldn't speak anymore, then I fainted. I "woke up" and was thankful it was just all a nightmare, looked at the video and it's now 3 girls wearing odd outfits. I decided to get out of bed, then my vision started to get blurry, then I fainted again. I "woke up", and at that point I realized I was still dreaming and I was in some sort of dream loop, this scared me shitless. I did everything in my power to wake myself up and I somehow woke up. I looked at the video again and it was TRO's video but it was over.

After all of that was over, for like an hour, I was scared of what I just experienced. I also never watched that guy's video again because his video made me fall asleep. Oh yeah, if you're wondering what the 3rd video was when I woke up for the 3rd time, I don't remember and It wasn't mentioned on the notebook I used to write my dreams in.

I just fell asleep to a loop of Smiling Friends last night and ended up having a nightmare where the Smiling Friends and a bunch of other randos were battling a lich Joe Biden, who in addition to having weather manipulation and necromancy powers was also engaging in his usual pedophilia tendencies, but towards the Smiling Friends. If that's not a wake up call for saying you spend too much time on A&N, I don't know what is.

i dreamed i was reborn as a tiny baby black bat and my cat was feeding me bananas
i posted in q+a "What Could The Dream Mean" and someone said it was because i was gay
it is not true becaues i like women's titty's and public triangle, not the Penis and butthole.

I was in a group of people ascending a tower with some challenge every floor. Upon reaching this next floor, we were horribly thirsty. It was a 90’s arcade bowling alley interspersed with rivers of pepsi, but it was guarded by teenage fiends that made you join their cult if you wanted to drink.

I was out walking at night and somehow without realizing it ended up in someone's back yard and they started screaming incoherently at me from behind the door about how they were going to kill me, call the cops, etc. and I was like chill out I'm leaving it was a mistake. Then some demon came out from the woods, also screaming in a really disturbing way. I somehow slapped it with some kind of magic and it flew against the screaming guy's house and exploded into gibs.

I told him to shut the fuck up or I'd do that to him too and then left, immediately waking up because it was pretty disturbing.

I also hadn't had the thing with lucid dreaming magic blasting the shit out of some monster in a while, although it wasn't a lucid dream.

Something about the voices was really disturbing and enraging.

I took a nap when I got home this afternoon, and ended up having a fairly vivid dream. I've already forgotten most of it, but I distinctly remember somehow being imprisoned in Crackle (the mediocre streaming service) somehow. It's literally been at least 4-5 years since I've so much as thought about Crackle.

Apparently, the inside of a streaming service looks like a small, mostly-empty, dimly-lit warehouse.

Had my most vivid dream in a long while. I was back living with my family and we bought some crazy old house and kept finding new rooms with taxidermied animals. Felt really unsettled when I woke up. Though in retrospect it was kind of fun. Nice little surreal adventure.

One strange thing I've noticed about my dreams in recent years is none are about, like, new people in my life or recent friends I've made. Its all immediate family. People I knew in HS. I don't know what that means. I guess people do tend to fixate on those years, or you never really stop feeling like an adolescent/child in your own mind.

I had a really dream a couple of days ago and it contained something I really recoil at and this dream actually disturbed me.
One of my greatest phobias is people deliberately damaging themselves permanently or going into situations that will fuck them up. Not talking Jackass stuff but someone willingly and with enthusiasm putting their hand in lawnmover blades for youtube clicks and attention while relying on medical services that will keep them from dying and maybe fix the damage that they have done to themselves.
Another side of it is people being pushed into situations like that for the spectacle via mass media.

My dream was hella stupid,it was a boxing match between someone from Russia and the West. A media spectacle at this point in time, like Rocky 4 but it was supposed to be an exhibition match. But it was a spectacle so money and prestige were involved, unlike me I just watched.

Well guess who they sent to represent the west, the one they always want to cast in everything: Idris Elba (he did a reality show where he took up boxing and kickboxing and went a match against a can, but he's also a 49 year old actor)
Russia couldn't have a russian athlete so they hired some kid to fight him.

The fight started and they took it slow and easy. Neither corner liked that so they pushed them to hurt each other.

Next round
They did, and the kid really opened up Elba, fight wasn't stopped, corner didn't throw in the towel.

Next round.
Elba is just getting fucked up, his cuts around his eyes are deep enough to show bone.

Next round - Kid doesn't want to do it anymore, but he is a hired gun and the russians are pushing him to finish it, promising more money. On the other side, Elba is an actor and this is great drama, what if he wins? Viewership is great, so much money coming in...
As the round goes on Elba doesn't know much of what is going on, the cuts are so deep his scalp is starting to flap like a bad toupee in the wind.

Next round
They drag Elba in and prop him up, the viewership is insane on the western side so it can't be stopped now and in the other corner russia feels pretty good about the total domination. Soon after that it's not just his scalp flopping around, his cranium is broken, you can briefly see his brain while he is getting punched. He puts up no resistance anymore. People love it.

Last night I had one of the most intense lucid dreams I've ever had in a long time. There was one part of that dream though that stood out the most.

In the dream, I was in a really fancy hotel. There was a short fat white guy with a big gray beard who said he was God. He told me he will help me reset my life. He was very confident about it too. In my dream, I was eager to follow him and see what he meant. He took me to a room behind the main counter and showed me this large red door. The door had two Greco-Roman style pillars flanking its sides. He was programming a particular date into a nearby machine. He was assisted by angel who looked like an attractive big breasted redhead wearing a red jumpsuit. She was helping God program the machine.

When he set it up just right, he said I should walk through it so I can fix everything. Just as I was about to walk through the door, I woke up...

Maybe God was telling me to just focus on my life right now. Well played, God. Well played.
