Weird Dreams Thread

I had a dream where I was at some college-like facility and was being lead it through by a middle aged Chinese botanist woman in a lab coat. At random points through the trip we would stop and she would give me a written quiz related to botany (Irl I have no interest and know nothing about botany). While I was taking the quiz, she would go off into another room and begin yelling at someone. The weird thing was that when she talked to me normally she had trouble speaking English properly, but whenever she was yelling (which always included swearing and weird schizobabble) she spoke perfect English, so it almost sounded like someone else was speaking. It should also be noted that I never saw anyone else in the dream, so I have no clue if she was actually yelling at someone or if she was yelling at nothing. Also when she was yelling I sort of got the impression that she wasn’t actually angry at anyone, as weird as that sounds. When she was with me she seemed nice and professional, if a bit clueless, although there would sometimes be things “off” about her mannerisms or what she was saying.

After I was done with the quiz (which I would be extra nervous about because of her weird yelling), she would come out of whatever room she was in, start leading me through the facility again, and the process would repeat for the rest of the dream until I woke up.

I dreamt I saw pictures of an abandoned hospital with rounded corners and green and white tiles covering the floors and walls. In one image there was a huge blood stain in a doorway and all the counters/tables had the same shape and tile covering. After that I had a gorilla who was leaning dead trees against a bonfire at dangerous angles and I didn't know how to explain to him why that was a bad idea so I just said fuck it, we might burn or we might be lucky enough to avoid disaster.

I met a guy in my dreams last night who was very much like a male version of myself and I didn't like it. I told to his face I didn't like looking at him or how he had the same mannerisms as me and he needed to knock it off.

I had a very weird dream this morning that I actually wrote down in my phone before I forgot about it.

I dreamt that I was hanging out in some sort of comic book/retro game store and I was looking at some Sega Genesis games in the glass counter where the register is. I don't recall what most of the games were but one game I remember was called "Steve and David!" but I only saw the spine on the case and it was inside the glass cabinet so I didn't get to see what the game was about. They also had this weird Genesis console on top of the counter that was hooked up to a small TV, but the console kinda looked like the Model 3 system but it had this red stripe on the side of the console that said "GENESIS" like it did on the game cases, and the guy working there said "oh yeah, that was part of some special giveaway promotion that they did back then so they didn't make a lot of those" and the game that was playing on the system was a basketball game called "Lakers vs Celtics" but the cartridge was really weird like it looked similar to the Sonic and Knuckles cartridge where you could "lock on" another cartridge on top of it, and when I asked the guy about that he said that "you could connect the other basketball games onto it and unlock more of the rosters for all the teams".

It was this point in the dream the guy behind the counter pulled out a sketchbook and a pencil and told everyone in the store (I don't remember seeing anyone else in the store) that he was taking requests for what to draw, and so I asked him to draw a picture of Majin Buu smoking a blunt with some Saibamen because for some reason I thought that was the funniest thing ever but he seemed to have no clue who those characters were despite working in such a nerdy store. I told him to "make sure you draw the fat version of him" when he was searching the characters up on his phone.

However just as he was about to start drawing this van pulled up outside the store and a bunch of people all jumped out and started walking around the parking lot. It was a mix of random people dressed up as random characters from pop culture and what looked like a film crew bringing out lights and cables and camera equipment out of the van, I think the van had the logo of some YouTube skit channel on the side or some shit. I don't recall who most of the costumed characters were but I remember seeing a guy and a girl dressed up as Cloud and Tifa but their costumes were really bad, like they looked like those terrible cosplay pictures you would see in a meme compilation somewhere, but by far the worst costume was this guy dressed up as Darth Maul. He was walking around with a black trenchcoat on and his face was painted like DM but he was wearing a painted bald cap with fake horns on top and he was wearing glasses too. Me and other guy in the store started laughing at that guy's terrible costume but then I woke up so I didn't get to see how that scene played out.

I slept for like 4 hours and had this one:

I was walking around this dark-greenish forest at first, I remember also finding these little specks of dust that exploded into some sort of light when I went near them. At some point I found a mansion that was real old and looked like no one had lived there in decades. When I had went inside, I began exploring around the dusty rooms, some of which had some statues covered up with tarps. All of the house looked in its time period until I found a modern-looking pair of doors that led to a kitchen, where I went through another door out into this weird mesh of the dark green forest and the mansion with misplaced stairs. When I had realized no one lived in the mansion I thought of ways I could make the mansion my own space where I could make as much noise as I wanted and no one would be around to complain. Once I had started thinking about that though some women appeared in the kitchen I had walked through, and when I checked out the kitchen again I tried to sneak past them because I was scared of getting caught for trespassing, but one of them caught me anyways and asked if I wanted to do a blood test which involved getting injected in the veins with chicken blood. I started running away and then woke up.

Had a bunch of celebrity dreams over the last couple of nights and I have no idea why as I wasn't even thinking of these people at the time.

The first was Layne Staley. He was at some kind of bar or cafe telling jokes and talking to people. He seemed really happy and looked great. I hope he's in a better place now.

The next one was really weird. I was watching reruns of In Living Color with Glenn Danzig and in my dream mind this was totally normal. My good friend Glenn Danzig just comes over all the time to watch TV.

The third dream was about Eddie Furlong. Back when he was young and still cute. Not current trainwreck Eddie Furlong. We were at an amusement park at night. And we sat down at a table to eat. And he starts asking me about his voice. Saying he doesn't think he sounds good and wanting to know if I think he has a nice voice. I told him his voice was fine. The dream ended.

These dreams were all very vivid and realistic. In Living Color even looked like a legit episode. It was Damon Wayans doing something. Might have Been Handyman.

As a bonus I just remembered that dream I had years ago where Tom Keifer came to visit me in an interdimensional pirate ship that just phased right through my bedroom wall. I have no idea why. He was just there to say "hi" in his weird sci fi pirate ship. The ship had this huge light blue cabochon crystal on the front of the bow. I think that made interdimensional travel possible. But I didn't ask. I was too weirded out by the fact that the singer for Cinderella was visiting me on his side hustle as an interdimensional pirate.

I took a nap and had a weird dream where there was a new kf rating. it was called tapeworm and the icon was a little tapeworm. no idea if it had positive or negative points and what situation you would even use it in. I blame the sticker drama

Had a couple of good lucid dream sessions over the last few months. I like to set my phone alarm for an hour and a half after I fall asleep so it hopefully lines up and goes off while I'm in a REM cycle. The key is to fall asleep with my phone in my hand and my thumb on the volume down key which snoozes the alarm every ten minutes. If it lines up perfectly and I'm dreaming, the alarm is enough to keep me tied to reality while at the same time I'm able to subconsciously snooze it so it doesn't wake me up entirely. Makes for some wild times.

At risk of sounding fucked in the head, I had a weird dream at the beginning of last month.

I was standing in a field, next to me was a farmer who was digging in the soil. There were others nearby, also working the field. It looked a lot like old grainy film footage with a greenish tint. I heard a crunch and looked down to see the severed head of a middle aged man loosely buried in the shallow ground, the farmer’s pitchfork had penetrated his face and eye socket. I then realized that what I had previously assumed were turnips in the distance were other heads, partially buried and drained of their blood. The farmers did not seem in any way distressed and it became apparent that they were intentionally harvesting them.

Later on that day I learned that Jim Metokur was planning to return to Youtube for a Valentine's Day stream (I know the joke about the Jim potatoes) and a few hours after that I heard the news of Justin Mohn having decapitated his father.

This morning I also had a nightmare, I was in a strange house that I’ve dreamed of before and someone from my past was trying to warn me about something but I woke up before they could finish telling me what it was.

I've heard people online say that they've never had a dream where they're using a smartphone, and that that's weird given their prevalence these days. Just had a smartphone dream myself, wandering around some public park or zoo constantly fumbling and dropping the thing, getting progressively more smashed and cracked as the day went on but somehow still responsive.

I've heard people online say that they've never had a dream where they're using a smartphone, and that that's weird given their prevalence these days. Just had a smartphone dream myself, wandering around some public park or zoo constantly fumbling and dropping the thing, getting progressively more smashed and cracked as the day went on but somehow still responsive.

I've had a ridiculous number of dreams involving them, usually malfunctioning or getting broken. Once it started heating up and smoking, then flew across the room and exploded. Another time it fell apart and a bunch of extremely tiny steampunk type gears fell out of it while I was trying to put it back together, more than could possibly have fit in it. More commonly though I'm trying to use GPS to figure out how to get somewhere and it keeps malfunctioning, usually in one of those dumb dreams where I'm walking around in a mall or other extremely large building or a sinister city getting progressively more and more lost.
