Just woke up from an awful nightmare. I was playing FlightRising (neopets but with dragons) and using my autoclicker to gather resources more quickly. When I finished, I noticed the items were withheld from my hoard and there was a notice on the side of the screen like "We detected you clicked more times than you needed to and suspect you were using an autoclicker, which is against site TOS! See paperwork." So I looked down and there was actual physical paperwork on my desk!
The paperwork was multiple pages stapled together with this smarmy redditspeak about how I was caught cheating and could (would) have my account banned if I didn't comply with their requests in the paperwork. The first question was asking for my personal Facebook so the mods could talk to me "when they had time," then there was a section asking me to detail how I cheated and asking me if I understood why it was wrong, because if I was honest and confessed to cheating (it's still suspected this whole time, no actual human has determined I was cheating) they'd ostensibly take leniency on me.
I was gonna ignore it like "how do you know I wasn't just clicking really fast by hand," but then on the second page it got really scary. They had printed out screenshots of a private DM with Null who gave them my full legal name and usernames on other websites, then a bunch of screenshots of things I've said on here and screenshots of me on other websites saying much less offensive things. Then they had screenshots of some of my dragons that had edited names and bios, and they were like "Our records show that you are associated with a hate site and have displayed blatant racism and bigotry, which is inappropriate for someone who uses FlightRising, and that some of your dragons display dog whistles for your bigotry in their names, bios, or appearances. The dragons mentioned are invisible to other players until you correct these problems, or we'll delete them. Check this box to confirm you've read the paperwork."
If the day comes random websites can extort players over their Internet history, I say we pull the plug and just turn the Internet off.
