At least Tom has a fairly nice face unlike Bongwater Crinklesnatch.

Talking of gross-looking bong actors, Eddie Redmayne activates my fight-or-flight response. He always looks like he's uncomfortably wearing someone else's skin.

I like Redmayne better than Hiddleston. Hiddleston looks like a Nixon Halloween mask.

I think I've figured out what makes Redmayne so gross looking. It's when you can see the orbicularis oris muscles. I don't know what it is but I only ever see it on Britbong actors. For instance here's the unfortunately named and faced and genetic'd bong actor Burn Gorman.

Hadn't clocked that, but I think you're right. It's always the mouth that looks a bit off.

Hiddleston has a nice profile but he looks weird directly from the front. Like the front facing simpsons characters from ye olde episodes.

Redmayne's problem is partly that he's a freckly ginger and whatever the hell makeup and photoshop they give you in Hollywood isn't at all suited to his colouring and it makes him look more uncanny than necessary. His face is definitely still a bit weird otherwise but that for sure doesn't help.
