When I worked as a welder we had to shoo them away from the scrap bins or they would steal rebar scrap.

A different set showed up, tarmacked the drive without asking, did a fucking terrible job as they barely heated the damn stuff off.
The owner told them to fuck off when they appeared expecting payment.
They came back at night and tried to set fire to the skip which held the scrap steel the others would covet.

Pikies are on a different fucking planet.
A bunch came into an actual Irish Bar, not plastic paddy, I used to drink in.
I was sitting with the regulars at the bar including "Awld Sammy", who had done every construction job under the sun and now lived in that pub with his wolfhound and glass of brandy and listened to their curious burbling and arguments.

It was strange incoherent rambling about who was more Traveller and whether or not they were Romany. Maybe like what Chris Chan would sound like to normies.
We had to pretend that it was standard practice in this bar to hand the money over first before getting the drinks, cause the owner didn't want to risk them just walking with them off from the bar and refusing to pay.

Fucking Pikies.

Yes! That's exactly what he looks like. I knew he looked like something but I couldn't put my finger on it. The gremlin cats are precious. But it just doesn't work on humans.
