Weirdest site you found on the internet - Bonus points if still online.

Don't know if this counts as a website or shock humor. But one of my family members accidentally typoed the cartoon network website under the URL cartoonnetworkcom.com and it leads to some weird anal sex site for anal women asses for some reason. I had a heart attack and almost murder one of them until my parents had to restrain me from getting a big knife. When I mean a big knife? I mean the one from that crocodile Dundee movie. I was a young child back then so it just mentally triggered me in the head. Don't know if that website still exists today? I'm hoping it's gone so I don't see it anymore.

Appears to be nothing more than an unbought domain now, but at a few points that url lead to a random redirect, which would have brought you to see whatever unfortunate content was on random malware porn site #2345.

possibly. This was dial-up at the time. So I probably had nightmares about it. Speaking of weird websites that no longer exist? When I was looking up info on Invader Zim back when it had a cult following. (Not that type of cult this was before YouTube and Twitter back when Google Video was a thing) I google Invader Zim fansite or Invader Zim flash games as at the time I wanted to find a website where they made some Invader Zim flash games. After going through all 1000 search results I found this weird website where not only it was an Invader Zim website but it had flash games that look so professional I wasn't sure if they were made by hardcore fans or a company commission by Nick to make those flash games. I never played them sadly but from what I saw they have an exciting type of game. Like some were reskinned of popular flash games like Alien Hominid, Space Invaders, Pac-Man, A beat'em up shooting, Run & Gun style games, and much more. I believe they even parody Pokemon with Invader Zim characters. It was so weird, but at the time I couldn't trust flash at the time due to Flash's infamous rep of having viruses and hackers finding loopholes to fuck you over, so I never bother to install Flash due to it, so I never had a chance to play said games. And I doubt the website exists today as I forgot the name of said website. But it did have a black background and it looked like one of those shady underground flash games websites where they illegally post stuff that let's just say could get you in prison today. But I don't think it posted any porn ads or anything no illegal drug sales or gun buying. It was like one of those 90s style websites that people used to make on Geocities. So it could have been that so that may be why I can't find them. I love Invader Zim, Love the show, was sad some of the cut episodes for the third and final season was never made, the invader dib movie rather if that was real or not was gonna be pretty cool. But at least I am glad that Nick years later gave us both the Invader Zim comics and the animated movie that came out on Netflix giving fans new hope for hope to get season three back into production. But I don't wanna get my hopes up though.

Back in the day I used to frequent edgy gore websites and came across a site with a title/URL along the lines of "pictures of dead things". The three images I remember were a black-and-white/sepia photo of a headless man in what I think was a clown costume, a picture of a dried-out severed penis in the woods (the image was facing the cut, so a cross-section of the dried-out spongy tissue was visible) and a picture of a dead dog with its back half missing, possibly eaten. For some reason the photos on this site unsettled me more than your average gore, despite not being particularly over-the-top - maybe more weird, unexplainable and disturbing - so I left the site without bothering to remember the URL and never went back again. Years later I grew curious and tried looking it back up, but was never able to find it again, possibly because "pictures of dead things" is such a generic search term and likely because the website itself was long gone.

I was looking at the Heaven's Gate site. If you go to the bottom of the page and highlight the footer text below the address all the way to the bottom of the page, there is this crazy ramble text that is set to color="#000000". (making it not display)

It looks like they used this text to set search engine keywords, but it's still looks crazy.

Even UFO death cults need to do SEO. It's only fitting they've stuck with the most 90's way possible.

"Back in my day every hyperlink we clicked on led to a diseased rotting vagina that screams NIGGER NIGGER NIGGER, and you never heard me complain because we liked it that way," is what I would say if I were looking for things to bitch about, but I'm not. Sprite Cranberry is the most milquetoast shock site in the history of the internet, and I'm ok with that.

I'm fairly sure Rotten.com had a section named like that.

That way looks better, as they can get to the point more with the actual text. Websites in Current Year may dance around the point to draw in more clicks - clickbait wasn't much of a thing then.
Things were so bad towards the end of Altavista, using Metacrawler to find anything relevant to what you were looking for was common and at times both required and futile. Google was able to swoop in and obliterate the competition because they served up (very) relevant results. That was so amazing at the time.
The old web was fascinating when it comes to content, it had a nice balance between anonymity and massive TMI/power leveling/self doxing.

One time when I was a kid, I must have been on some shady porn website or something. There was a giant ad on the side of the page for the Jetsons cartoon porn. It was a standard picture of all the Jetsons standing in a group, with George in front pantless with his giant boner sticking out. I was disgusted at the male nudity and wanted to see women. I had never seen anything this weird in my life. I never thought it was possible for anything like this to ever be made, so I clicked the link out of curiosity anyway.

It took me to a page that was a long Jetsons comic. The plot was about George neglecting his wife who wanted to have sex with him, and he kept trying to get his daughter Judy to have sex with him instead. He showed off his giant boner to her, and she repeatedly refused because she thought incest was disgusting. George got a sad expression on his face and left her alone. The last frame was an extra picture of Judy topless as a thank you for people reading the comic. This was back in the 90s. It's still one of the weirdest things I have ever seen.

That is the weirdest comic book story I have ever heard in my life. O.o

Oh shit I remember those! Not the Jetson itself but there existed a huge amount of strange short porn comics that covered every cartoon franchise ever made and it fascinated me. They were a bit like the Elsagate cartoons except drawn by humans, humans who probably weren't that familiar with the franchise itself, so the story could be 7-8 pages of anything("Aladdin sticks his dick in the lamp!") and the dialogue was Borat-like. My theory at the time was that they were made in a russian sweatshop somewhere.

One thing I remember very clearly was that they had a special shitty look in the line work. (hastily made example)

The lines weren't anti-aliased so everything had that MS Paint quality to it, like Zelda on the CD-i, though the art itself was decent for a 90's internet porn comic.

I'm so glad you remember these, because I think it was pretty obscure. Nobody else has ever talked about it.

I remember the artwork being screenshots taken from the TV show and pasted onto each frame, then all the nudity and dialogue were drawn and edited into the screenshots. The added content might have been badly done, but I don't remember.

You might be right about the comics being made in a sweatshop or something. It looked so unprofessional that it might have been amateurishly done, yet was still promoted by a bigger company.

With the amount of comics that were made it must have been part of a site. There were so many of them, my memory absolutely exaggerates it but it felt like you could pick Bart, then find a comic where Bart does Homer, then narrow that down to Bart does Homer in the cellar. With a complete set of those comics you could probably make a really strange visual novel or choose your own adventure game.
