Agree, there's too many labels and boxes that the left put people into and those boxes just don't really exist except amongst the extreme crazy lefts themselves and that's only because they self enforce it.
 
I want another creep cast with wendi hopped up on pain meds again. Telling on himself about "Jacobi" and getting stuffed in trashcans rivals the ACDC bit in deepwoods for me.

God that last third was so atrocious. It's just infodump after infodump of everything the author came up regarding the house (though the venus flytrap analogy gives it away much earlier). How was he even going to continue from that? All the mystery's gone and the original characters replaced by some annoying "quirky" woman who just happens to know everything about the house and somehow survived it for so long like it's a Current Year reboot of a beloved series.

Supposedly it's an internet classic, but this is the first time I've ever heard of this story, and readings of it aren't that popular on youtube. This episode is the single most popular regarding the story. Doesn't even seem like any of the big narrators have ever covered the story either, though maybe they were just taken down I dunno. I'd like to know what kind of creators Isaiah was talking about cause as far as I can tell it's more "inspired" by Ted the Caver (the whole ending in the third? part is literally the same ending) than anything else.

First time I've heard of this too.
 
Usually I really dislike their long tangents to the side but God, I was absolutely creasing during the drunk-joke bit.
Especially the first totally deadpan "Eat me like a bug.", the "I want you to shoot me four times in the chest" and just visualizing it all got me really fucking bad.

Meat's a funny guy.
 
I liked the story, organisms that don't look like organisms are neat and the temporal paradox nature of the house(s) was pretty neat. Studio cucks killing a neat concept is pretty fucking gay and lame. Although the final section with the vagrant woman that knows everything was pretty boring.
 

Red Thread got uploaded a few days late. I assume Wendi must have been too busy for his usual times last week (or week before last, however far ahead of time his podcasts tend to record) since there's a few points in this episode where he slips into sleep deprivation delirium, this one feels like it was recorded immediately before the Creep Cast episode. The concept of a cube that gives you the worst headache you've ever had if you look at it causes him to start weeping from laughing too hard which is incredibly adorable

Meat's "eat me like a bug" is all I took away from this. And that bit is worth a 10/10 alone.

Maybe you didn't hate it, it made you feel nothing and that's why you forgot it.
If you hated it it would have left an impression.
 
Amazing bit about eating me(at) like a bug aside, Dionea House felt like a hodgepodge of a bunch of other creepypastas that I've heard a hundred times, which given its age is actually somewhat impressive since that means that it might have pioneered all those tropes aside from probably its worse version of Ted the Caver's ending (and the epilogue with the homeless lady was awful). Reading it 15-20 years later for the first time though, that makes it that much more forgettable since there wasn't much new to it. Danielle's livejournal was definitely the high point but she's the only character I can name off the top of my head (I hope that's actually her name lol, if not I don't even remember that)

Isaiah comes across as very easy-going and gentle and people like that seem to be magnets for the woke crowd as they know they can exercise a lot of "power" over those kinds of creators, in terms of getting them to capitulate to whatever demands they have. Had Isaiah leaned more into giving his content a masculine edge most of the Tumblr/Reddit crowd he's attracted would never had given his channel a chance.

Yeah, he should have defined himself more as a bit edgier. Like at least Brandon Herrera or Garand Thumb tier edgy. It would have gate kept the rainbow weirdos out more.

I was considering picking up the shirt jacket and then I saw the price.
It looks nice and all, well designed and distinctive, looks like its made with good materials, I'm pretty sure it was a hassle to meet demand, pretty tasteful for being Youtuber merch but man if I knew how much money you can make by making clothes for terminally online people that look like hand me downs I would've started by own fucking store and donated the money to charity myself.
