"HAY, GUIS. DID YOU KNOW THAT HUNTER CAN SING? BECAUSE WE REALLY WANT YOU TO KNOW THAT HUNTER CAN SING. BECAUSE WE ALL KNOW YOU FIND IT REALLY FUNNY WHEN FAMILY GUY CUTS AWAY TO AN ENTIRE THREE MINUTE LONG MUSICAL NUMBER. SO WE'RE JUST GONNA KEEP ON DOING THAT, K?"

I had to tap out of the story halfway in. It started to sound like a 5/10 version of "1408" with all the suicides in one room. Also in 1408, the author points out that the numbers of the room add up to 13, like 733, which just solidified it in my mind.

I've just gotten to the point where I skip over them. It feels like filler even though their video could be however long them want it to be.

There are moments of the show that I really love and that keep me coming back, but I haven't seen those in a while. Might just start watching the highlights from now on. I hope they can course correct, because man it always sucks when you can feel the life slowly leaving a product you enjoyed.

If you told me this story was based on the author's own experiences in college, I'd believe you. There's a ton of spite oozing out of most of the characters. Or maybe Hunter successfully ragebaited me. Overall, the story was pretty good. Fun twist, even if it was ruined a moment too soon.

The biggest drag is in how convenient the plot is. It would work if it was a much shorter story—as an actual campfire tale told to incoming freshman to freak them out—but as a proper short story it's uncanny how everything works out so perfectly for the protagonist, you naturally think there's some catch to it. Alice comes out of nowhere and she just so happens to know the most about these suicides? By all accounts she should be part of the paranormal society, as the foremost expert on the matter... but that whole scene feels like it only exists so the author could make fun of them (furthering my spite theory). The librarian, too, was best friends with the first girl who killed herself and just so happens to reveal that their dorm room is the real 733 now, and never any time before for some reason. Really, there's no reason to have all that, and the moment I read that I already knew what was going to happen to Lydia. She could have just been any other student who later came back as faculty

I think they just need to stick to proper creepypastas and less reddit short stories
They have fun with Creepypastas, the episodes are fun (especially if they are in the same studio), and they can get 3-4 per episode.

Reddit stories are all the same thing to me now. I will argue that most are not bad. They are worse than being bad, they are so fucking middle of the road boring it becomes unbearable.

Creepypastas are pulled from so many different communities and are often either really good, really bad, or really batshit insane, which allows them to be remembered after all these years. Reddit (really just nosleep) stories just want to farm likes for either self gratification or get some reader stats to impress a publisher. The best way to do that is to follow trends and do what the last popular story did.

As bad as "Thing in the basement" was story wise, I think it's easily one of their best episodes. The podcast is at it's funniest when they're riffing off bad stories. It's unfortunate they're not likely to read the rest because I'm sure it only gets worse from there.

Room 733 is mid at best. Those who said it would work better as a legitimate campfire story with so much bullshit thrown out are right.

However, how badly it handled the delivery of the twist made me think me go "That's so fucking stupid" not go "Wow good twist." I'm still up in the air if I think the twist was good or not, it was delivered that fucking terribly.

I'm still up in the air if I think the twist was good or not,
The twist makes zero sense because all the paranormal stuff throughout the story was happening in what's revealed to be a completely irrelevant not haunted supply closet. Good twists have at least some clues left in that most readers won't notice the first time around, this one seems to get dropped in at the last minute because the author didn't know how to get to the climax.

It'll be out when it's out.
Personally I want them to stop dicking around and do the Ghost Puncher green text, it's short, dumb, and sweet, perfect for a grab bag, and classic as well.
The creepypasta you want them to read has NO SET SCHEDULE, the recording is done when it's done and will be released when it's done. In case you haven't noticed the boys have been busy recently and if you Haven't WAKE UP ALREADY! Windigoon released a movie a while back, hunter is working on a movie Currently as explained a Creepcast ago, Wendi is having a baby and trying to maintain the second channel.
