And then we add the in video sponsors. Then discount codes that they get a kickback on. Then whatever youtube itself gives them. Then the merch sales on top of it all. And the multiple channels they each have that all have sponsors and are monetized through youtube. Oh as well as the occasional stream.

Maybe the fact that I'm genuinely poor is showing (or I just dont pay enough attention to youtubers) but how do youtubers live so modestly with that kind of pay? Are they just bad with money? I know some live like kings but most Ive seen, including Wendi, seem to live as though theyre firmly in the middle class. But 100k A MONTH??? I'm no financial wizard but if I was making that much I would retire at 40.

Maybe youre right and he is trying to squeeze as many shekels as he can out of his audience before the well inevitably runs dry or he gets bored. Then he can live off that in perpetuity. I doubt thats whats actually happening, but thats what he should do

I'm shocked it took this long to rediscover this grift honestly, Tumblr paypigs used to shill out big for Welcome to Night Vale and shit like that in the early 2010s, this is just the next step in it.

It's sad to see the fall in his effort and quality since linking up with MeatCanyon - it's been pretty apparent he doesn't write his scripts anymore and anything over the hour mark becomes comically incoherent.
 
I call for Wendigoon to play Yume Nikki or Psychopomp for a video or else I will call for #ExWendigoon!

The project he should pick up next is Fake Documentary 'Q', but it's probably going to take more effort than he's willing to put in to start putting the longer narrative there together. Doubly so since it's entirely in Japanese and has very little English coverage or discussion (ReignBot just 1:1 narrating it does NOT count).

Only way he really redeems it for me is if he takes on high-effort projects like that again.

It wouldn't surprise me if Wendigoon donates a good chunk of his wealth, what isn't invested in creating content I mean. That's probably what I'd do if I was making enough cash where I can say, "yeah I have enough." I haven't kept up with his Christian content to know if he has as well.

Wendi getting hung up on Meat saying, “you go to Hell if you kill yourself” is just exhausting. I wish to God Hunter’s rebuttal was just, “Y’know, this is something you’re supposed to believe.”

Edit: Just finished it, and Wendi goes on this incredibly cringy, "THEY WERE SO M-M-M-MEAN TO LE HECKIN' LADYRINOS!" thing towards the end. I swear, he actually mentions it twice in a single run-on sentence at one point. Yeah, Isaiah - turns out when the fucking world has gone to Hell and people are getting fucking vored alive through their umbilical cords, people tend to forget all about that "m'lady" shit. You'd know this if you ACTUALLY read The Road or Blood Meridian and hadn't apparently just asked Chat GPT to summarize them for you.

There's not really anything in the actual text of the Bible that says suicide=sin=hell. The Bible really only calls out murder of another, not self-murder. The idea stems from people like Augustine and Thomas Aquinas, and obviously works like the Divine Comedy really run with and reinforce the idea.
If he said the same shit, oh well. Haven't seen the vid yet. But I'm sure he was more sperg about it than necessary.

My guess is he either has some wildly expensive addiction to online gatchas, has a robust stock/real-estate portfolio, and tbh he probably also just does a lot of charity on the side. It seems like hes one of those tithing Christians. His local church is probably rolling in the tax free $$$.
