Edit: if you like watching them interact it’s fine. They’ve actually got some decent fan art going. Some section of the fanbase refers to themselves as “Meatgooners”. Hunter doesn’t remember what half the memes are referencing, including things he said himself. Isiah does not respect his pagan fans. Everyone is obsessed with the license plate debate.

I remember reading this narrated and even then I thought it was shit. It's too vague, so you never really get the "no way..." moment when you start putting things together and you really don't want to.

Wendigoon goes on like 2 separate tirades about how it has nothing to do with modern Jews or Jewish people in general even back then which was kinda jarring.
Really, he came off a little extra passionate about the topic this episode, more so than usual, and maybe a little rushed too.

My apologies for the double post but I finally got around to watching Left Right Game and I gotta say I finally understand what all the hype was about. Wish there was more of that ritualpasta-level of complicated rules stuff you have to memorize and execute perfectly or you're dead or worse.
But by god does the character of Bluejay infuriate me so damn much. Easily the worst part of the story. I understand that she's an archetypal character for this kind of story and you're supposed to hate her -- I've read a few stories just like this one, Stephen King's The Langoliers immediately comes to mind -- but that got real old really fast, so outside of that I was left with basically a one-dimensional villain so brash and obtuse that almost came off as a caricature at times. There's a lot of subtext surrounding her character, I've noticed, and it's not entirely subtle about it.
Really, I think her problem is that she's never allowed to develop as the story progresses, or otherwise have her perceptions and more importantly her schemas evolve as she is confronted by the reality that all of what she's witnessing is in fact real and she must follow all the rules or she will suffer a terrible death. It makes no sense either that such a smart woman that is able to reason Bristol was attempting to communicate with Lilith over the radio just by seeing her by the car, would remain so vehemently trapped in her delusions in the face of all that she has seen. I wonder if that subtext may have something to do with that?
In any case, perhaps instead of her just vehemently thinking all of this is a farce meant to make a fool out of her all throughout the story, as the journey goes on she starts out (much like Bristol) incredibly skeptic of this whole thing, but as people are picked off (spread out over the whole tale and not basically all at once for this to work) she slowly comes to make compromises and concessions that parts of this trip might be real, till eventually she does accept it, but unlike Bristol (like the idea that the two are foils of one another) she instead comes to the conclusion that Rob is using people as sacrifices as the Hunter theorized. That he's trying to get to his metaphorical golden sphere at the end of the game and is sending people through meat grinders that he may be able to pass on safely. So as she's the last car left she grows incredibly paranoid which would explain why she just snapped in the forest and keep that whole interaction.
I don't know... It's such a huge shame though. I loved the first part and the mystery that was so beautifully crafted there, but her character took me out of the story so hard it almost ruined the whole thing for me.
E: Oh and also that comeback Bristol gave her, about the hitchhiker, really wasn't that clever in the grand scheme of things. Honestly seems something like the stuff you'd find on r/clevercomebacks or whatever it's called. She could have just been playing along at the start until she got fed up with the whole thing by Jubilation for all we know.

Excluding actual people born to a pagan household, Paganism is basically Atheism with extra edge and donutsteel (though never to actually act like the original beliefs) by self hating right/left wingers.
The non-binary of religion is agnostic though.
I never liked that plot element because the obvious issue of needing either someone who inexplicably knows the rules, or convenient dead people who write how they died. The only example I can think of that did it well is the Kishibe Rohan manga with the house that will make you a billionaire if you don't breach mannerism.

Was alright, nothing too much to talk about. Strange how it seemed to go by way faster than the first time I listened to it. Strange how they recorded this episode after 1999, but only just now released it after recording a whole other one. Otherwise, it's a solid story with a really, really good ending.

How in the fuck has Hunter not heard of Ben Drowned, Squidward's Suicide, or Normal Porn for Normal People?? Did he learn about creepypasta from the nosleep reddit? Isaiah is younger but has at least read the OGs. Really starting to think this channel was Isaiah's idea to begin with.

If someone doesn't know about Ben Drowned and Squidwards Suicide, they're literal normies. Those are fuckin entry level, "baby's first" tier, creepy pastas. Even if you didn't seek them out you at least heard of them or stumbled across them because of how popular they were.
